Who am I again?

That helps quite a bit, although now I need to decide between my two character ideas. One being me needing to refigure out a couple things and a simple solar which would only require a couple basic questions on magic, the other is... something else, and I'd have to probably talk personally a bit about the viability of. Assuming of course you're ever in a place where I could contact you that fast.

I was thinking of a Dawn caste martial artist who uses a shield myself (totally not Captain America inspired or anything). That or possibly an Earth Aspect Dragon Blooded archer who likes to build walls.

I'll probably do either a Zenith or Eclipse caste. Unsure which as of yet.

So we are clear

First am I correct in assuming we are using dice, and that this is not a free-form game? If it is a free-form game that ignores crunch then ignore the follow-up questions
How are you handling flaws/merits, the errata, and ink monkies? Are there any house rules we should be aware of? How are we handling dice rolls? This one is for the other players, please dont min/max. I dont want to be forced to have 5 dex 5 melee and a 3 dot daiklave just to keep my character relevant in a fight

Are we using default character gen? If so I've got a lunar character ready... Readyish.

I'm sorry, Aero, I can't hear you over my 18 foot magical construct of solid sunlight
I am so interested I already have a character.

Really a warstrider? Here I was worried that a DB in power armor or a Dawn caste with a giant circular Orichalcum shield might be too obvious.

No no no.
Warstriders have repairs, and attunements, and you can't take them places. It's a MAGIC warstrider. Made with magic. Only when I need it.

Just to make it clear for everyone, you see that guy Krylo made? Don't be that guy.
In the interests of getting a cohesive circle together, I'd like to hear the concepts people are considering at this point. Just a rough idea of the role you'll be playing and things you'd like to accomplish are fine. I may transition towards a more freeform approach if it ends up being too cumbersome to do everything by the rules, but currently we'll be using default chargen. We will be using flaws and merits, by I am likely to be banning some on arbitrary basises. On house rules, the important ones will be a change to soak rules. The minimum damage you inflict upon an enemy despite soak is (Your Essence +1) - Enemy's Essence. This is to make weapons with Overpowering a little nicer and to help keep soak worthwhile at higher levels of power. In the interests of keeping soak useful, I'll also be stripping the Piercing tag off quite a few weapons and possibly lowering Overpowering ratings. Next is a change to perfect defences. Using perfect defences against sorcery costs an ammount of willpower equal to the circle of the spell. It also counts as a localised or complete dispell depending on if it's an area or single target spell, meaning hilarious collateral damage. Perfect defences will also have a willpower cost added for defending against 'impossible' attacks. These are things like thrown mountains and attacks that are extremely enhanced by charms (exact criteria there yet to be determined).
