No no, see, for B to work, it's not lost tax revenue. It's ZERO tax revenue. I imagine the soldiers will be the ones with control of the farms though, yes. I didn't say it would be fun. At best, it might lead to A.

Not that this makes it better, but we're still the good guys in that they're worse
While we are not the 'good guys', the things we do are at least less horrible than the things our enemies do, so we are least the 'better guys'. At least our (less so than the enemy) horrible actions aren't actively condoned by the government and perpetrated against both enemies (ie, us) and its own citizens without penalty.

2. I have a hard time imagining this behavior wasn't given a free pass by the government, because it's the result of many terrifying levels of secrecy that couldn't have been accomplished without government approval.

Sweeping generalizations condemning a massive institution regardless of the unanimous participation or even knowledge of all members?
Business as usual on the left. |

Generalizations based on the views and actions of this institution's representatives. If you endorse these representatives, or or institution's endorsement of these representatives, I see no problem in lumping you, and everyone else who does the same, in the 'horrible republicans' category.
Cause, let's face it, your representatives are fairly awful. Edit: Also, I hope you spotted the irony in that 'business as usual' comment. Edit 2: Also, as far as "business as usual goes", as far as I'm concerned "Making (possibly unwarranted) generalizations">>>>>"Hating women and gay people (for starters)" |

Gotcha. Bill Clinton (allegedly) raped Juanita Broaderick. Ergo, all Democrats are (alleged) rapists.

All members of our government totally had control over what happened in the original article too, right?
Or sweeping generalizations are only cool when you're not part of the group being prejudiced against, perhaps? Oh, you lefties and your double-standards. |

IE- No one likes a dissenting political opinion. Nothing breaks up a party of folks sitting in a circle congratulating one another on hating the other side quite so much as one of those lepers wandering over and commenting!
