Don't get me wrong, I love Peter Sellers, but anything with like, 12 active directors and tens of re-writes is probably going to be terrible. Which it was.
Apparently, to those who read the original books, Craig is more in the vein of the traditional Bond - a brutish killer turned suave spy. That being said, the best three Bond actors are: Connery Dalton Craig Just because if you've only done one movie, you don't count, and Moore made the whole thing seem jokey. Which people will argue that the series is jokey anyway, but they're summer blockbusters and awesome spy movies, there's a suspension of disbelief. They're awesome. |

To me, Bond is like Batman; I'm willing to accept multiple interpretations of various seriousness, as long as it's all fun.
But Die Another Day was terrible. Just terrible.

...Moonraker? SMARTY, YOU MAGNIFICENT BASTARD. YOU'VE DONE IT AGAIN! EDIT: On a serious note, I liked the two Timothy Dalton ones quite a bit (The Living Daylights, Licence to Kill), but how can Goldfinger not be at the top of everyone's list, even yours, Smarty? Also Casino Royale (the Craig one) is fine to me. I thought Quantum of Solace was pretty bad, though. Not Die Another Day bad, but bad. They spent all that time channeling The Bourne Identity with the first one, then the second one had a bunch of silly set pieces based on the four Greek elements, culminating with a scene set in apparently the most dangerous hotel ever built. It's not as bad as the myriad sillinesses of Die Another Day, which killed the Brosnan franchise and made the movies skip an installment for the first time in history (there has been a James Bond movie every two years since Dr. No except for the gap between Die Another Day and Casino Royale) but it's more in the same vein. ANOTHER EDIT: I don't really take issue with this, it's a very different film tonally (a comedy instead of an action movie), and it does have the most Bonds of any Bond movie. So if Smarty wants to say it's the best that's...fine. Moonraker, though...that's just Smarty playing mind games with us. It has to be. IT HAS TO BE

That cartoon would be way better if it was a different kid in every episode.

James Bond films are supposed to be about ridiculous nonsense. Moonraker is themost ridiculous of the non Casino Royale bond films and thus it is clearly the best.
If I want a serious gritty spy film I'll watch a serious gritty spy film. If I want ridiculous stunts, crazy gadgets, insane over the top villains and sexy women I'll watch a bond film and Moonraker provides all these in the largest helping of insanity you can find. |

EDIT: I'll agree to disagree if you will at least cite Live and Let Die as the best Moore Bond film (after Moonraker), then.

You are all wrong - the worst Bond is Diamonds Are Forever.
