There's too much stuff to do each round in a forum setting without heavily altering the mechanics, thus I vote chat.
Also, weekends after 5:30 pm central work for me.

Ok weekends sound good.
I think perhaps we should focus on solar tier characters of some sort, abyssals, solars or infernals. The trouble I always have with solars is finding a convincing reason for them to meet up. I think perhaps it might be appropriate to create a basic setting in which certain things are happening and let everyone figure out their own character's reasons for participating. The focus would likely be regional at first and move up from there once the circle was formed in earnest. Weekends sounds good to me but we have to figure out times. I'm pacific time zone myself. Late afternoon or late evening is good for me, like between 3 and 5pm or 9pm and alter saturday and/or sunday. I'll try to narrow down the story idea to a few choices and then we can decide on a focus, then I'll have all the interested parties write up a prologue for their characters detailing how they exalted, what they did immediately afterwards and why they are now involved in the current story line. I guess you can consider that part to be a try out. I'd like to have people with active and interesting imaginations involved and not players who don't really give a shit and just want to blow stuff up. Seeing as the setting is pretty much based on the premise that your characters are all ready the most powerful beings in existence I don't see much point in an emphasis on power gaming, nor have I ever found such playstyles to be fun. Well, my job I work monday-friday 3:30pm to 8:30pm -6 UCT (US Central time), and on Saturday it's 9-5 and Sunday 10-5.
In Pacific time that'd be before 3 Saturday and Sunday, and 5:30 Monday - Friday, I believe, that I'm unavailable.

I think 3 to 5 on saturday or sunday would be good. That's pacific time.
How does everyone else feel? We could also expand it at times if needed and everyone agreed but one day aweek should suffice. |

I wouldn't mind, though note that I am still looking at the system and making my decision on whether or not to play (further hampered by upcoming finals).

If I have my time zones right, that's about 8 am tomorrow morning for me, so I can do it if it's run Saturday afternoon yesterday.
Quick check: do you have daylight savings on?

3 to 5 Pacific is like 6 to 8 for me so that should work. Just have to find time to go through the 2.5 stuff. Unfortunately that will not be possible this weekend as I have a Karate Tournament to go to.

basically they nerfed essence reactor charms into the ground so now there's pretty much no way to set up an infinite essence loop. They increased the cost of perfect defenses substantially across the board and reduced damage ping to 1 or the overpower rating on your weapon, no more essence ping.
The basic emphasis was to make combat somewhat less lethal and a bit less broken. They also did some changes on multi action attack charms to make them a little less wonky. (No more early tier charms that let you burn as much essence as you want to flurry, they made peony blossom a simple aoe whirlwind thing and changed invincible fury of the dawn to be more in line with its lunar counterpart.) They did a lot of work on sidereals and if I'm not mistaken they're almost playable now, which is pretty awesome. Oh, and no more need to spend experience on combos, if you want to combo you just do it right then and there like a boss. |

Oh and just putting it out there I've gotten much better about reigning in my impulses but keep me the hell away from Infernals and Infernal charms. Seriously as an exercise I once made an essence 10 Infernal that could take dash actions at a significant fraction of the speed of light and even at like 3 or 4 essence I could probably still get near the speed of sound.
