Archer and Armstrong vs. the World
|
As an aside, I don't think the Flash is a total unknown to people. People know what he looks like and that he runs really fast. His origin is incredibly simplistic, besides.
Of course, I base this assumption about this pop culture clout entirely on that SNL skit from the '70s where Superman, the Flash, and the Hulk are at a party picking on Ant Man for being a terrible super hero idea. EDIT: You know, this one: http://www.nbc.com/saturday-night-li...ro-party/2406/ ANOTHER EDIT: Regarding origin stories, the best adaptation would be something along the lines of Justice League: The New Frontier where they focused on precisely three of the heroes' origins (Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, and the Flash) and treated the rest of the heroes as "known". BUT they can probably cut out Green Lantern's. And The Flash is so simplistic it actually focused more on the government trying to capture him so they can experiment on him. So we're left with Martian Manhunter, just like the JL cartoon (presuming Aquaman is in instead of Hawkgirl, and that they don't put Cyborg in instead of MM).
