The stranger made no motion to act in surprise of being threatened, or weapons pointed at, or anything else. Instead he took a moment to survey the group, trying to judge their interest or intent. "I can offer one item that you people would enjoy, one that is rather... unique in that no one else has managed to successfully use it." He waited for a moment, to make sure the tavern grew quiet so that when he spoke he would be heard.

"I offer a device that was brought here by a strange man from a stranger place. I have no use for it, but perhaps you do? It is known as a flux capacitor, or at least that is what its creator called it. Whatever vehicle housed it is long gone, and the crazed man that drove it is gone with it. All I know about it is that you need a serious amount of power to activate it." The man seems to pull out what looks like an instruction manual, and as he pulls it up to read it, everyone can see on the back it says

The man grumbles as he flips a few pages. "Ah, 1.21 jigawatts, whatever that means. It also mentions needing to go 88 miles per hour, however most flying vehicles nowadays can do it." He closes the manual and tosses it on the table. "Read all about it if you want, its all there in the manual, but you don't actually get the device until the beast lays dead. So, you interested?" The stranger smiles, an evil grin on his face.

Suddenly Allyson was the most interested person of the group. Mysterious alien technology ~~inside a vault on the planet Pandora~~ that was one of a kind? She got up and said with power "Consider it done." Then she turned to her companions, "Well? What are you waiting for? We've got a beast to kill and we aren't going to kill it by sitting in this tavern." She walked over to the barkeep, "Where's the nearest weapons shop?"
