Actually it didn't. It began airing 3/4 through production and its first 5 episodes did so poorly on network TV, they were about to cancel showing any more of the show. Then Watanabe took it upon himself to fix the problem and switched the showing of the show to a sattilite TV broadcast station. In other words, later episodes of the show were not on national TV and were given a limited audiance showing. This, along with the show going up against shows like CardCaptor Sakura, Kenshin, Slayers Try, Lost Universe and Sailor Moon Stars and a host of others made it not be as much of an intrest in the Japanese public as the afore mentioned shows.

Now, if you want to say the show did well aside from ALL those other shows, then yeah, it did well. It held its own and had a good following. But compared to a Sailor Moon or CCS or Kenshin or Slayers or Eva or Naruto or etc.....it never reached that level. Likewise that's why it has yet to produce a game until now, because the Japanese game studios didn't see much of a demand for making a game for it, except now because, although the game might have sold some to a niche crowd in Jpan and made some money, they can sell it in both Japan and America now and make big bucks (mostly due to the American CB fans). Its Americas CB craze which is making CB famous and spawning this game. Trust me.

Yeesh! Where do you people find the time to play all these? I like to find a good game and stick with it for a while. Right now I'm suffering from WoW withdrawl symptoms. I played my brothers copy for a week over christmas and I'm trying to get my own copy of it. Once that happens I'll probably be busy for a month or two at least. In the mean time I've got San Andreas to keep me occupied. After that, I'm looking forward the next GC zelda game. Also, I can hardly wait for pikmin 2 to come down in price. That's about it for me at the moment.
