James Earl Jones is on the cast list though so we WILL get some vader breathing.
I have always said since 10 years ago when I heard he was going to make the prequels that they should end with the mask on the screen, his breathing for a good, slow 10 seconds, then go to black and just pump the imperial march. |

On the other hand, if Lucas disappoints me, I will be almost as angry with him as I was with Salvatore for allowing Ryld Argith to die under his supervision...only, I can always forgive R.A., but Lucas will have failed me for the last time! In other words, Episode III had better be good.

Way it should end is to show Vader's silheouette looking out the first Death Star window, then some loud breathing, fade to black, Imperial March music.
To not watch the original trilogy because of the suckiness of the new one? It makes my head spin. Mainly that you never saw the original trilogy, everybody's seen that...I thought. I guess there is actually this huge flux in people who haven't seen the original Star Wars trilogy now, due to new births. It's very disturbing. They also haven't seen the Indiana Jones movies or Rambo or Arnold Schwarzennager movies or Alien movies or anything! It's messed up, man. |

So we are clear

Ironically I saw the first three movies (4-6) because I loved the original card game. Day that game died was a sad one...ANYways. I think the third one will be good since from what I heard, think of it like 2, only all the mushy crap is replaced with jedi masters and sith lords killing each other. I heard the final fight might be the longest in the history of cinema.
As for the series, I think live action is a horrible idea. It took alot of money and the best special effects team in the world to make Star Wars convincing. I just dont think a tv show can have the resorces to pull it off. Animated...if its equal to clone wars it will atleast be worth a watch, but to put out that quality consistantly over a long period in 21min episode (comercials make it 30) would be difficult. Oh and if they put it on WB or Fox's saturday morning run even a Star Wars nut like me will most likely ignore it and hope it goes away.

Honestly, I find Star Wars nuts too cynical. I enjoy it for what it is, and have some fun watching it. Star Wars fanatics look at the flaws, not the good parts. Just like critics. That's why I never go to conventions or Star Wars forums. They suck the fun out of it.

Well, I can't say I'm a Star Wars nut... probably won't ever be if the third movie doesn't catch my interest... and soon. I've been alive 27+ years, haven't seen the original 3 movies, nor the rambo flicks, never was interested in the Alien flicks (what a waste of time!), but I've followed quite a few of Arnold's movies.
Tch. The trouble with the movies (Star Wars) that I HAVE seen is that there's so little good to "suck out" compared to the so... incredibly.... much bad that already just... well, sucks. I can't list how I would want the series to improve, simply because all I've seen is mediocrity at best, thus I haven't seen how Star Wars should really be. I guess. Let's just hope the new one will actually be worth the time. I'll have to download it first though... definitely don't want to waste more money on complete trash, if that's what it'll be. You know the old saying: "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. Try again, and I'll download your shit first."

Really Hatake, if Episode III were to even come close to living up to the first trilogy, it would be an awesome movie. I just want you to know that Lucas has been doing the name of Star Wars a disservice since he announced the prequels, and that the first trilogy had more good in five minutes of it than the first and second combined. They were quite good, and are oft considered classics. I suggest that even if you find Episode III to be lacking, you should watch IV, V and VI. A New Hope would be a symbolic title for someone watching them in the order that you have...unless Lucas has already ruined the name of Star Wars for you. Oh well, it's your time, not mine, do with it what you will.

Ironic that you should mention that, more ironic that it would be true. I may just have to take your advice from that simple statement, El.
You're very astute in your assertion that Lucas has all but completely ruined the Star Wars name for me. I'm not saying that I could write a better Ep 1 or 2, but I'm quite certain there could've been far more capable hands than what he's been displaying. I've been wondering for some time now how he ever made it into the business... I also suspect he must've stolen the first three movies from someone else, which could be the source of all the miscellaneous "human fingers" that are being found in everything from Wendy's chili to Chocolate Ice Cream these days.... After the debacle that was Episode 2, I found that the Camp Chaos writers had everything pretty tightly wrapped in a nutshell. The link below is for those who haven't seen that particular bit of footage... We'll have to see what happens, El. I hope you're right. http://www.campchaos.com/show.php?iID=140

On a side note i proudly admit that i already have my ticket for the first midnight showing of episode 3. And i may just have to bring a toy light sabre to battle the ultra nerds for the best seats, and then just punch them in the face when im tired of them, because they are weak and frail! |
