This is main reason why I reluctant to follow him.
But I don't really mind too much as long as we vote one of them.
Now that I think about it a Tend vote may be useful because Colbert is like the joke reporter/odd one out which could mean
A) He's wrong and everyone else is correct
B) He's correct and everyone else is wrong.

So let's carry on with the Tend vote and see what comes out of it.

One thing I'm thinking is that because each of our reporters found a different cult is that they are all paranoid and will turn up everyone who they research as a certain alignment. I guess we'll know tommorow if they all come back with same alignments vote again.

But I do ask the media players: Investigate someone who the other people investigated this turn.
That would help, A LOT!

...except the media is also their own alignment and wouldn't do that to benefit the town. We have to figure this out ourselves. Also, it does look like each of the reporters reported on someone who would fall under thier category of political alignment.

Colbert-Illuminati
Couric-Libertarian
Olbermann-Liberal
Hannity-Republican

But we won't really be able to research any of the players short of revealing any PO the town may have or allowing one of the parties to sacrifice a member as a "purposed PO" to throw us off track. So impeachment is the best choice we have so we know for sure how the media works.

I'm still intrigued by BReal's assessment where he basically outlines the Illuminati as mostly pro-town and then proceeds to attack them.

Something's amiss here.

We don't if the media have seperate alignments from the town. I was assuming they did not.
Also yes, B_Real is suspicious as (which I called out earlier) but I think it's more useful today to investigate one of the media calls.
I'm not totally convinced which one yet but most people are wanting Tendronai which I'm ok to go along with as I outlined above.
I think today we impeach one of the media people and then depedning on information we get from that we look at B_Real tommoorw.

Hey, here's an idea: Why don't we request politely for each reporter to investigate and report each other's initial targets? This way, we might know for real after tonight whether or not who's telling the truth, or if it's all gone to bollocks?

I had an even crazier thought that would be exactly like something I or Apes would do in this game.

The Media.... are the ones converting the players without knowing it!

Their pro-town in the sense that they need to get rid of or infiltrate/take control of the other parties (Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians) in order to win, depending on how the Illuminati work in this game. IF its to get rid of the other parties, then it helps the town, but thier win condition is just short of the towns harder to get win condition where we need to eliminate not only those three parties, but also eliminate the Illuminati as well. Which would be very hard to do once we've helped them accomplish thier goal and won the game for them.

To put it in mathematical terms, the win conditions for the town is X and for the Illuminati is Y. Both groups need to accomplish tasks D, R, and L. But the town ALSO has to accomplish task I. So it looks like this.

X=D+R+L+I
Y=D+R+L

where X=Y+I

And that doesn't even count where the media fits into all this either. But as you can see, its going to be much easier for the Illuminate to accomplish thier goals than the towns because theirs are always going to be one short of the towns.

EDIT:

As I said earlier, we can't count on that to happen because the Media is thier own alignment. They wouldn't do something to help us if it benefits us more than them. Its like asking the mafia to kill the serial killer. Yes, it has a small benefit to them, but the seriel killer still eliminates people from the town and they can still win with the serial killer intact.

How do we know the Media doesn't win when the town wins?

Sounds like they might win with the town.

Tendronai wagon is still stupid.

Unvote, Vote: b_real because it has any basis at all.

Rokrin, in the first post Ape said
-Each group other than The Masses/Media have the same win condition: When a group becomes the majority of remaining players in the game, they win.
-In order for The Masses/Media to win, the heads of all the other competing groups must be eliminated.

To me, the first post seemed to indicate the Illuminati are just another political party, nothing with infiltrating the others parties.

Guess it's time to swap my vote too, things aren't getting clearer, and the Media doesn't seem to help too much. Where can I get some BBC-approved info? xP
For now I don't mind too much who we'll impeach, as long as we impeach someone.

Unvote: Tendronai
Vote: B_real_shadows
