You'd have to understand Super Sentai better. The honest truth is that the good guys often don't shy away from fighting dirty. In Dairanger, which never came to America, they would often use their staff weaponry to come up and get their foes between the legs. Then they'd often repeat the blow a few times, and then sometimes use the last one to hit them in between the legs hard enough to carry them up and over and back down to the ground on the other side.

In Jetman, which was almost our first port, the black ranger's signature move entailed grabbing foes by the balls and neck and then lifting them over his head and then throwing them down on the other side.



This is why combat scenes are often cut or re-filmed entirely.

I know there are a fair number of bo and jo techniques based around doing just that. As I recall, Dairanger was kind of made to be like an old martial arts epic, so that'd make sense.
