To elaborate on that, you beat your opponent senseless with a Nerf bat to knock red balls out of them (yours are blue) and then collect them. Whoever has the most colored balls at the end of the time limit wins. And frankly, Setzer is ridiculously easy to embarrass completely. VIVI is harder!

After that match, they proceed to shoehorn the system into every world with the stipulation that it represents party morale or some such rubbish and if it gets too low, you lose. This leaves you to go around collecting balls like a madman from fallen enemies (because only the player can pick them up), which simultaneously forces you to rely on broken AI to win said matches, since your party members are all dumb as rocks. If you're REALLY good, you might actually be able to get a few hits in yourself before returning to running around like a headless chicken and collecting balls to replenish your ever-draining [bullshit stat] bar.

Overall, it was highly unnecessary and often downright annoying.

I... don't remember that at all.

I mean, I remember beating Setzer up, but I beat KH2, and I don't remember this morale thing you're yammering on about, so either you're crazy and it doesn't exist, or you're crazy and it's not nearly as important as you think it is.

Either way, you're crazy.

It made an appearance for sure in Mulan's world, and I think a couple others. In her world, they were yellow balls with red dragon heads on them, and there were at least three battles that you had to deal with it in.

God, I miss the 80s/90s environmentalism cartoons.

One thing I always notice when I watch the really moralistic stuff from back then is that they did not have much respect for us as children. Look at the way they repeat things over and over again to get us to connect the right ideas with the good guys and bad guys respectively.
