Those are some good looking drawing, Saria.

About Sara, she doesn't really look like Sara. There's nothing saying that isn't a lady in red. But it looks pretty good.

And about the alien-girl, her hips aren't too small. Just think of her as a very young character (Which she really looks like), and then the hips look just right.

She *is* wearing red, isn't she? =D

And thanks. Yeah, I guess it helps that the alien's breast aren't that big either.

you should work on basic anatomy and proportions, postures, etc. before really working to the meat and two bits.
Yes, you are correct Skweeb.
The posable pine man is almost fully accurate.
You can also get quite close using posable plastic action figures too.
What helped me a lot was painting the lead role playing game figures
because you're constantly staring at it while painting. Good for studying
the effects of light and shadow on anatomy.

Now, let's see, from top to bottom:
-fashionable
-I wonder, now I'm a Red Wizard, will I still be named Red Mage?
-shiney
-powerful
-enchanted
-+3
-cool
-insert adjective here!

Nope, nothing wrong with your handwriting there, sport. Heh, you should see mine. ;

Meh, anyway, nice drawing of our Red Mage, mon brave. And I agree on the hat, but hats suck to draw. Anyway, spiffy. I see nothing wrong besides the fact that his head seems a bit too large.
lol, I wonder if I should take Grandmaster_Skweeb comment as a threat or as a compliment! Oh well, let's say the latter.

And thanks for the nice comment Melfice! *happy gig*
What a courage, trying to read my hand notes! That truly deserves a price... XD But I have a question, did you somehow discovered I talk French (wich I doubt) or you just felt like saying "mon brave"? Anyway, I don't take offense but I am a woman so you should have said something like "ma brave" (altough it's never used in feminine form, that's just not the kind of expression we say to girls...) but that is a truly understandable error.
Actually I'm quite pleased you said this. Heheheh.
Now I'm stopping all those parenthesis, I have another drawing of RM to do! ((yes, eventually one day I'll make the others...))

BTW, the big head is maybe an illusion because of the wrong size of the hat? But the head's form is not very refined I must admit, it gives me a balloon impression...

I was stalking you. You wouldn't know how much that costed me, but that's not the point.

Nah, seriously, I was just impersonating Gambit, ya know? Also, how am I supposed to know your gender!? It's not like your avatar is a clear indication of that...

And about that comment about the lady in red, Saria... It was supposed to say "that isn't a generic lady in red.". Silly me.

And that's the price of having an elven name and not something generic like RMGirl...

lol, nope, I admit my avy features a male RM (or an ambiguously gendered at least) but I declared myself "fangirl" in my signature. This was how you could have guessed my gender.
Bah, this is pointless, lets cut it short: me is a girl, you is a boy. Pleased to meet you!

Let's post some sketches now! (I wonder if there is a topic for serious work or we put it all here? )
Photoshop doodles:
http://www.deviantart.com/view/9760375/
http://www.deviantart.com/view/8540376/
http://www.deviantart.com/view/9520166/

Pencil sketch with most atrocious scanning quality you'll ever see:
http://www.deviantart.com/view/13903750/
Line art:
http://www.deviantart.com/view/16071865/

And because it's sad when there are only links to the images in a post (well, I think it's sad XD) I picked two random MS Paint doodles. Don't ask why Aeris gets punched by a giant cockroach or a bicycle pump, it's too long to explain...

I love the Dexter sketch, and I must ask why Aeris was pummled with a bicycle pump and a cockroach. I must!

I don't remember if I posted this before but here's an easy & quick
way to make a comic. Yeah, I said quick & easy. About as easy
as it gets. Maybe even easier than a sprite, once you get the hang of it.

Take some models (whatever peels your banana) set them up according
to your story, take some digital camera pics of em, lightly print them
out, and then ink em.
The word balloons can be added later when you scan em back onto the computer.
What could be easier?

Default Pissed off

A character sketch for a possible web comic. Still not sure if it'll ever go up though. Think pissed off guy running at you, with intent to kill.
