And yet everything in the 40k "universe" is still restricted to a single galaxy. Even the Chaos gods haven't been proven to exist outside of this one galaxy unless I'm mistaken. Daleks wage wars across the entire universe, even multiverses, and time.

In fact, fuck it, Daleks vs 40k? Daleks go back in time, start exterminating before most races even become sufficiently advanced enough to ever pose a threat. And seeing as no races in 40k have access to time travel, it won't be so much as a Time War as a Time "fuck you".

Now I know some races, such as Orks and Necrons, came about pretty suddenly, with most of their tech from the off, but Daleks would just track them back to their origin, while they're still fewer in number, and do their thing. Much easier to wipe out 1, or 10, or even 100 planets of Orks or Necrons or whatever, than the thousands they'd occupy millenia later.

I just realized something: 40k has ridiculous magic and psychic powers (the line between which is pretty poorly defined, admittedly).

Therefore the Daleks can't blow up suns, planets, or time travel because every time they try a chaos sorceror or imperium psychic merely wills that they can't.

They can totally do this as the Daleks have only science, where as the entirety of Imperium space travel is actually performed because the God Emperor uses super psychic powers to allow every ship to navigate, while he simultaneously fights off the four chaos gods simultaneously through a psychic projection in the warp.

P.S. Blowing up a 40k Star awakens the C'Tan the immortal gods of death whom rule the necrons. So they still die if they do that.

P.P.S on Rail guns dinging off Armor--Arhra already pointed out there are guns that can one shot Daleks AND the Marines also have armor that dings off rail gun slugs. The point was that they don't even NEED that armor as they can stop it with their skulls.

It's far more likely that the C'tan sleeping within the star would wake up very, very angry, and 'grant them immortality'.

OH oh, and if they DO go into the past, they still had magic back then, too, AND used it more often--so they just boil the Daleks from the inside out with no need to fuck with their armor.

I've also been informed by someone whom actually watches Dr. Who that the only time they've ever actually time traveled was with the Skaro or something emergency shift, which they can't actually target.

They have also apparently only actually followed through with destroying a planet once or twice, and not with any of the awesomeness you've been saying they use, I guess, while the Imperium pretty much makes it their modus operandi, sooo.
