Lightbringer was consistently the most powerful weapon in the FF games or amongst the most powerful.
Deathbringer has OHKO. Which means that it consistently revives the undead. It also had a lower atp than lightbringer. Lightbringer is better, deathbringer is useful situationally. So pretty much the same as last time.

Lightbringer is the upgraded sword you get by gambling ragnarok in the arena, SO.

sure, the stats may LOOK good, but Lightbringer is mroe situational in battle - if an enemy abosrbs holy, that sword has a chance fo healing them, whereas Ragnarok's FLare is only stopped by Reflect (Runic can't do **** to weapon triggered spells.)

Hrm, that's true.
Normally I'd dismiss it as you're far more likely to meet holy weak enemies than holy resistant enemies, however, if memory serves, one of Kefka's final forms was holy resistant/immune/absorb.

I like how you guys are talking about going back in time to beat 40K to stop most of the races from developing when most of the races were developed at the height of the biggest 40K threat -- Necrons, who also have a penchant for destroying realities, and the old ones, which only don't exist anymore because they fought the indestructible gods of death.
This is all moot because as soon as the Daleks threaten the galaxy, there is now a combined and big enough threat for the Orkz to fight and it's literally unimaginable for a united ork force to lose. If you think anything else in the 40K universe is a threat, then Gork Mork and the entire Ork horde getting off their ass will be an autoloss.

Anyway, this is turning into a Star Wars vs Star Trek fight, which wasn't really my intention, so how about the cast of Friends vs the cast of Seinfeld?
