Well if we're arguing about whether the scenario is poorly written or not, that's a whole different topic. Like sure, he doesn't have to engage with the material on the writer's terms, but that doesn't have a whole lot of relevance to a discussion about what actually happened in the game, especially when we were getting into things like how the whole thing related to later events. That said, Snake didn't really give any indication I saw that his sympathy for Morinth stemmed from the writers projecting their views on female sexuality. If all that's been discussed are the events in the game, then people can totally get on his nuts for making it about what he thinks about conservatives. It's not anyone else's responsibility to divine that he was being meta, and to be honest, I really don't think he was, since he was specifying a character, not a writing style. It was basically using Conservatives as a strawman for Samara.

Edit: In fairness, I skimmed most of everyone else's mosts, so it's entirely possible I missed some glaring dickishness.

I hadn't picked that one up. I did snag Revelation way back before ME2, but it's pretty poorly written. I don't think it has this level of disconnect, though. Anderson got to be cool, and it gave more backstory and depth, insomuch as there even is any, to Saren.

I know it shouldn't, its superfluous feature I can just ignore but, come on do we have to tack on a multiplayer to everything now? You want to talk about wasting funds, talk about this crap.

They way I've understood, there are like multiplayer co-op missions that aren't required but give you extra rewards for the single player game or something like that. Which I think is fucking awful.
