Celes is good. I've seen some of her pictures. I'm also a Full Metal Alchemist fan, and I greatly admire her work.
But my fanaticness for FMA cannot match hers. |

I found some great tutorials today and I decided to try drawing in a different style (more super-deformed)
I LOVE the hair and the eyes, but I'm not a big fan of super-deformed-ness, so I am going to experiment some to come out with the perfect style. ^^ I'm really proud of this picture.

Awesome picture! Makes me think of Zelda. Is that Zelda? If that's Zelda, then holy Abyss, I'm a very close fan to the Legend of Zelda. You should be proud of that picture! Sigh...makes me think back to Chibi-Rinku...master of the chibi art, also known as the art of deformed characters...
The hair and eyes are amazing. |

Paragron: Really lovin' the last one. Foreshortening is such a pain for me.
Celes: Sooooo cute! And I also immediately thought of Zelda upon seeing it. Love the eyes. Many freaking hours of work: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/31450085/ Sketchy #1: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/30831452/ Sketchy #2: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/30736074/ Sketchy #3: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/30751881/ |

Woah, Madhatter. Great sketches, the first one is awesome. It'll take me around four years to get to that level. I have no idea what to say about them, except...awesome.

Hmm..seems to get some attention 'round these parts I need to sell my soul to FMA :stressed:
No offense to anybody, but I'm just tired of seeing FMA. I'd love to see more original work for a change. Last edited by Grandmaster_Skweeb; 04-09-2006 at 02:06 AM. |

O_o
I don't know what you guys are talking about. In the last 6 whole pages there have only been 3 posts that had any pictures of FMA in them, and 2 out of 3 of them were mine so... it's not like everyone is doing FMA all the time. In fact, the last FMA picture was 14 posts behind this one, at least two pages prior to this one and after that there's been 7 original pictures that had nothing to do with FMA so... yeah. No offense taken, but there's plenty of original art around that is getting attention, so I don't really know what your talking about. But since I'm the majority FMA drawer: yeah, I know I draw FMA a lot, but I do draw other stuff *points at my last two submissions* (although drawing zelda is about as original as drawing FMA). I'll try and stray away from it for a little bit but I can't make any promises (now if you were talking about looking in my personal sketch book, then I could find some merit in the "too much" FMA accusations. =D ) (just to point out., I have it set to 10 posts per page, so if I looked at 6 pages (one was uncomplete) I have 53 posts all together and out of that 53 only 3 were pictures of FMA. AND just so I didn't make an inaccurate representation of it, I went back and looked at EVERY PICTURE posted in those last 10 pages, and out of 61 pictures only 4 of them were FMA.... Dun dun dunnn!

Seran: Thanks ^^
Niko-Ru: It looks cool, but it's so tiny! Can you post a larger version of it? Even if there were a lot of FMA posts here, I don't see what'd be wrong with it. Some people really like certain subjects. Repetition is a huge part of learning to draw (and I don't mean to say that in a condescending way; obviously CJ knows how to draw, but I mean that as in it's an ongoing process.) How many people here haven't gone through phases where they were attached to a particular subject? And why is art suddenly unoriginal because you're drawing someone else's character? It's not like someone else did the drawing for you. |
