Oh that's right, that was Dave, mah bad.
Telling the story from John's POV: He saw the evil vampire drinking human blood and attacked dual wielding AK-47s with Holy Water Covered Bullets. The Vampire dodge with inhuman grace calling upon the legions of hellspawn to aide him. Using his kun-fu power, and assistance from the Lakers hey were able to stake them all until only Edward was left. John takes a stake in hand looking over Edward as he begs for mercy. John doesn't feel all that merciful today. Edward explodes into dust. "You know what they say." John puts on dramatic sunglasses. "When you're in Vegas, the Stakes are high." What actually happened was that John mocked Edward until he sullenly went away. |

First off I wouldn't call Guts' encounter with Slan a defeat, and while the imagery was rather grotesque, he wasn't actually "raped" by her embodiment as a pile of troll guts. I'd say closer to "felt up" as there wasn't any sort of penetration. A rather vulgar point of contention I'm sure, but when dealing with a series like Berserk you have to make that contention. (Not to mention the seemingly unabashed misogyny the artist seems to have wherein every male character murdered by monsters at least goes down quickly, if grotesquely, while seemingly every female character must suffer some form of debasement, if not full on and graphic rape. I don't think he'd have a male character raped, if only because its likely he has some kind of weird grudge against women, likely because he's a manga artist... but I digress.) Also, your point about the Berserker armor keeping Guts alive is a bit off. The armor does not allow him to survive otherwise fatal wounds, it simply allows him to ignore pain and unleash his body's full potential. As was stated quite clearly when he was initially interred into the Berserker armor, the previous owner did in fact die when he finally bled out. In effect, its still his body taking the punishment and he still manages to survive, the berserker armor only acts as a shield against pain and a sort of catalyst to the entirety of his might. Also, we have to take the chronology into consideration. When Guts fought that pseudo-fairy moth creature he was a relative neophyte to the terrors of the darker side of reality. It was relatively soon after his emergence from the eclipse. If we take Guts at the current time line, he's far more experienced and powerful, to the point where he does, in fact, curb stomp apostles. He does so without the full effect of the berserker armor as well, which he actively tries to suppress due to the dangers inherent. When he took down the lightning avatar of the Kushan emperor, for example, he was not in berserker mode. The emperor arguably being the most powerful, non-godhand apostle in existence. I am not as familiar with the exploits of Kenshin, however given Guts' extensive experience fighting things beyond the purview of mortals, I think he has a decided advantage. |

That said, I'm gonna go with Lina on this one. If only because she's working to save the universe as a main character. |

You do realise Unicron once ate the universe to within the margin of error right. Like he didn't just have the potential to do it but actually did it.
Also Lavos eats time, if you eat time you can probably take out everybody. |

Batman. Light wouldn't know Batman's real name so he couldn't kill him and Batman would figure out about the Death Note's quickly then punch Light in the face.

I'm gonna go with Batman too. L needed to use the police and come out and say he was hunting down Kira to get close to him. Batman wouldn't have to enlist the help of others to find Kira because he has all the resources and brainpower of L and he's a ninja. So Batman would find Light being Kira and punch him in the face while he was on a business trip and drop him off at the police station on the way to the airport.
A more interesting challenge, though more esoteric perhaps is L vs Johan Liebert. I can't say for sure who would win out. |

Batman also has experience with guys who can kill you with magic/their mind/etc...
I'd rather see The Question take the place of L for this simple fact:
