Also, just because someone's incorrect on their investigation, would they really lie the rest of the time? They may tell us truths/falsehoods after each investigation.

Seriously, that's the dumbest move I have ever seen from any standpoint. If he's town, that's stupid because it's totally anti-town to do that. If he's a Democrat, that's stupid because now we know he's a Democrat. If he's anything else, that's stupid because now we suspect him of being culted.
