Wouldn't the white backdrop make it seem darker, and a dark backdrop make it seem lighter?

It's a mess right now (stupid attachment parameters), but I'm overall proud of my work.



Edit: Now re-uploaded with the addition of Blue's first weapon, a three-section staff. Frankly, I'm so happy with it I probably won't bother making anything else. For reference of how the staff should be held, this GIF should help.




Edit again: Reuploaded again. This is, after all, a work in progress. Had to put the spell stuff in a different sheet to keep the file size down. But I did, for me, a lot of work in a relatively short period of time. I now have front and side laughing poses, a pose for damage (based on FF3j's ninja, because I think it looks a lot better than what Mirai's sheet offered), two poses for drunken-style dodging (one of which I'm liable to scrap for looking a bit effeminate), a drunken overextended punch (which needs work), a looking diagonally pose, and a stopping hand. Kept on the sheet is the sansetsukon in case people don't care to download sprites they're not likely to use right away (Dex, like Jay, currently has no Blue Magic), and the Black/White Mage casting poses in case anyone wants to do something creative with them. Their colors are included in the overall palette as the bottom three: black shirt, gold tee (for WM), and white shirt.


Yet Another Edit:

Changed a pixel on all the heads. The more I looked at the side view ones, the bigger and more bulbous they appeared. Rounded out the top a little more. Also added positions for looking down in three directions and a surprised face that I think better suits the calmer nature of the character. AND I redid the back-facing poses so that it didn't look so much like his collar was sticking up.

For a purely custom job, that's a fantastic spritesheet, blues. That's something you should be proud of.

Well, blue has been busy with sprites. These are the most current sheets for Blue (now with a pretty blue background to not blind his fellow comic-ers!) and his sidekick Troy (also with pretty blue background!).

So, yeah, leaving up all the old stuff as well. Really, the only change I made to the Blue sheet was the background. But, I figured since I'd done so much on the Troy sheet, it was time I got it out there for use by the local comic-ing community, and no time like the present to get everything up-to-date all at once.


P.S. For all you guys I'm currently doing stuff for (which is pretty much just Big Mac right now, I guess XD ), this does not mean I'm stopping work on your stuff for my own selfish endeavors. It means I already had a lot of my own selfish endeavors done up and maybe got a bit of tweaking in on them in between.




Edit: Okay, doing a comic, I realized a problem with my sprites. Namely, that they were a pixel too short. However, Blue is a shorter character, so I'm leaving him that way. Troy, on the other hand, has been fixed. Also, I did a sheet for Big Mac's lady love, Cat. So I'm posting it here as well.

Well, this is the spritesheet I started working on like two years ago and never finished. Not sure if this'll replace the hideously deformed one I use now or whether I'm too attached to it.
