Is the villains also in the mix? Because the borg wouldn't stand a chance against Sephiroth and cloud. Even with out the villains thay would still win by summoning up there gods and smiteing them!

Yeah right. The FF heroes at most is 50 people. And a portion of that are wizards who are bound to run out MP. Even then, the Borg Adapt. its 50 vs 50 billion so my guess is the Borg. Unless it was an even amount then maybe.

I highly doubt if the Mages of FF were to cast Ultima at a level to wipe out the entire Borg "race", then they themselves would be to weakened to pick off the stragglers.

Also, lets look at the Main hero's such as Cloud, Squall and Tidus. All Sword Wielding hero's. That means they have to get up close to the Borg to attack. I'm sure the Borg would adapt to the fighting style and would send three or 4 Borg to each sword fighter. All it takes is one Borg to catch them unguaded and infect them with nanomachines. Slowly they would take effect and soon, one of the sword fighters are now a Borg. That means they now have access to the human fighter knowing their strategy.

And should they do this before the mages cast Ultima, Merton/Meltdown, Meteo and Darkness. The Borg would know what they were planning and would evacuate. That means after the Mages are exhausted, the Borg can reappear and finish the job.

I imagine all the fighters would simply act very defensivly around the mages, merely trying to keep the Borg away. This could even put the Borg at a disadvantage, as they would adapt to fighting close up, only to get annihilated by Ultima.

What are you kidding with this? Endgame FF characters are tiny Gods. It's like saying Borg versus the fucking Q.

What are the Borg gonna do shoot them with photon torpedoes? Good so when that takes off like, two hundred fucking HP per character what the fuck are they going to do?

The mages are going to get tired? Dude at any point like 2/3 into a given game they're as likely as not gonna have some ridiculous fucking Autohaste accessory, doublecast, and some item/skill that lets them cast Ultima at 1HP a pop, they're going to get tired of casting magic like that mutant Japanese eating contest champion is going to get tired of shoving hot dogs down his face. Any two FF casters can crap out a half-dozen apocalypses before the Borg even get finished saying how futile resistance is.

All it takes is one Borg to catch them unguaded and infect them with nanomachines.

Ribbons + Heal = no more nanomachines.

I refuse to believe that the entire fucking collective. A race that has billions upon billions of drones cannot destroy 50 people. The sheer numbers would demoralize many of the hero's.
