Thanks, guys! Your compliments are very much appreciated. I'll be sure to post any other good ones I happen to finish. (hopefully on white paper)
I appreciate the criticism too, but a lot of it I attribute to my style of drawing. The spaced fingers, for instance, were meant to be like that. And I usually draw heads slightly larger than normal, just to fit in with the touch of cartoony-ness in my work. The ears though... I've just got a bad habit with ears... I've had it pointed out a few times, too. So! I'll definitely take that into consideration for next time. By the way, great job on everyone else's artwork, too. There's a lot of impressive stuff in this thread! And... on a side note... what's "kudos" mean? |

Well, since I have an urge to post something, but I have nothing new to post, I think I'll post some of my old crap. ^^ (so forgive me if all of it isn't that great. ^^; Because it won't be )
A little girl's doll after the flood kills her and her entire town in my friend's and I's novel: An old picture that took me FOREVER, but the only thing that turned out well on it was the wings... Man, I thought I was going to go insane by coloring those wings... (but curse her arms! I can never be proud of THAT picture with the arms ruining it like that! >_< bleh) Zelda, what more can I say? I think it was for a contest awhile ago... Hm... something about this picture always bugs me... doesn't it kinda look like she's wearing armor over her dress? Oooh I totally forgot about this one!! This is one of my more recent ones, I used a reference though. ^^;; I loooove Magus. Alrighty then. Comments, criticism? (yeah I've already noticed most all of the problems with these over time. ^^;; ) So there... I've fufilled the urge to post something. I want my scanner to work... and I freaking want to find my old sketch book! There's so much stuff from that I want to scan!

You know... I never grow tired of your art Jessa... It's always fantastic... Makes me a little envious that I can't draw like that, but I don't mind it. That's why people like you are here, to impress those that can't.
Great job! All of them!

But I liked the background ^^; And thankies MC43. ^^ It's taken a LOT of practice. (seriously practicing (as in, drawing quite a few pictures a week) since 7th grade, I'm in 10th now) But I hope to get better. One of my good friends is drawing/coloring/painting this totally AWESOME picture of Ganondorf, and it makes me realize, "Gee. you know, I'm not all that great." That's why I'm gonna try and do something really cool, instead of just Oekaki's or Pencil sketches... (once I get my art back from the display cases at school (yep, I'm happy, I have two pieces in the display cases outside my art room. ^^ yaay. (I don't really see why, they aren't THAT great, they didn't even get sent to scholastics....), I'll scan those (once the scanner is fixed) To give you an idea of my non-anime kind of stuff ^^;; )...but the pictures will be too big for my scanner I think... hm.... (gee, I talk too much sometimes, don't I?)

Well, I'm glad I could do my part to get this thread back rolling again.
The first picture is good for a change of pace. No bad points at all. The second picture just amazes me. I finally got the chance to try oekaki and it is insanely difficult. This could be because I have a fairly old and much used mouse. But still, that is an awesome picture, and there is nothing wrong with the arms. I agree that the Zelda picture is a little off at the dress. I think the coloring is part of it, but the shoulders might be a little too big, though that's probably just my opinion and has no real basis. Who isn't a Magus fan? He has no mouth, but that might be a good thing, and I think the scythe has a strange curve to it. Otherwise, this is another classic. Good points all around.

What are you all waiting for?
Here's a picture I did recently during artclass to kill time. (I'm done with the assignment, and they don't have a new one, hurray!) It was just a doodle, but I am planning to draw Yojimbo from FFX, but I need some reference material, haven't found some yet, but I'm confident I will. However, in the mean time, enjoy this one. It's some lion guy...warrior something, it's not finished, nor will I ever finish it. As I said: Enjoy.
What's wrong here? Are you guys waiting for me to submit Yojimbo, or is there no useful critic or other art to submit? Just wondering...
