Serious thought, are these two candidates really that horrible? Yes, but thats not what I'm getting at. Are they especially horrible. Is it we happened to get two bad ones or are they all horrible and we as a society have reached a point we can see it now? Could also be, not that we are able to see it, but so hate driven we will dig for any scrap we can to justify it. I mean I'm sure if you cherry picked the last ten years of my phone calls, social media posts, texts, emails, ect I'd come off as a monster too. On this forum alone I'm sure there is enough content to make any group hate me.

I'd agree with your sentiment if it was just an audio recording of Donald Drumpf saying things twenty-something year old Dudebros would actually say in a locker-room, which might, at most, involve complimenting or criticizing physical appearances or fantasizing about consensual sexual activities with an attractive woman. That kind of behavior is pretty common for folks of both genders and all sexualities to partake in, but the implicit consensual nature of the activity -- and the recognition that the fantasy itself is far-fetched -- are crucial points.

Instead, Donald Drumpf was recorded confessing to utilizing his fame as a mechanism to sexually assault women. And he's not even in some far-off fantasy world of his imagination, he's confessing to something he's actually done in the real world.
Sexual assault is NOT locker-room banter, and it's insulting to men to pretend that men behave this way behind closed doors.

fair point. I mean I don't know how I'd act in thirty years so I try not to speak as if I would. Though outside of special circumstances even now I refrain if simply to protect the privacy of the person I was with. So yea, reasonable to expect someone at that age should simply know better.
