If you want to "train" some people for mafia, start a couple of C9 games. It's 7-person, you have 2 mafia, and the following combos for townies are chosen randomly for each game:
5 townies 4 townies 1 cop 4 townies 1 doc 3 townies 1 cop 1 doc You don't tell the player which set-up you use because it can be pretty easy to make startegies based almost solely on the type of set-up. It's really good for introducing players to the basic build of how a mafia game works. Then a 12-person game can help them become acquainted with power cross-effects, multiple killers, and expanded probabilities. After that, it's a small jump to 18-25 person games. |
