This comic, along with the last one, are two of the best comics Brian has made in a while. Fighter and BM conversing is always great, but this time is was especially good. I think it's the way Fighter seems to be making stuff up on the fly, but it's not like he's doing it TOTALLY randomly; more like he actually believes it despite the fact that he's pulling it out of thin air, and it makes some kind of sense, but ony to him.

:fighter: Thier national mascot is the flamingolope.

Best line in a long time.

Naw, Brian only did that joke less than 20 strips ago, so if nothing else, it's overdone and expected by many.

That and BB needs some character strengthening, since he really has no connection to anyone or anything at the moment (he's WM's travelling cohort, but why, and how?).

Finally, I keep half-guessing what'll happen, but I've yet to be full-on correct. (The last known incident was speculating on parties, and Brian vaguely commented that one of the many possibilities I gave was related. It turned out that Team Ranger were the Bearded Warriors.) Here's my chance to be dead on, hehe.

Today's comic was spectacularly funny.

And how does BM know Fighter didn't go to college, hm?

Ah right. I took the penultimate panel of #447 to play on the two surviving members of Team Ranger falling out (making the "I'm sure we can expect their triumphant return any day now!" funny), though it does make more sense as the example for Thief's "Oh, we've done better".

Either way, my point still stands, as Brian did show - if only already dead - the other half of Team Ranger.

We know in #385 that both Fighter and BM dropped out of their respective camps, but nothing about colleges are mentioned. If the camps are colleges, then Fighter did go to college and didn't complete it. If camps preceed colleges, then neither would have been qualified enough to be accepted into colleges.

I thought the king was King Soloman who offered to cut a baby in half to solve a problem, but the King Alexander story with the knot makes a lot more sense considering the title.
