Nothing can phase me, krylo.
That's right, I'm challenging you to a duel. On cosplay: totally nerdy and can go overboard sometimes, but like any splinter of culture, i find it absolutely fascinating. Cons are actually cool, too. I guarantee you could have fun at an anime con if you have even the slightest interest.

"My power is basically to...well...set things on fire." Best.Quote.Ever.
That one guy dressed as the "spirit of youth" guy from Naruto annoyed the hell out of me. Everyone else was hilarious. *clicks Krylo's link* ... ... ... *dies from blood loss through eye sockets*

An interview with Man Faye: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/colu...nday.php?id=48
The thing about Man Faye is that he's quite well-known... for some reason, that one I posted just came as much more of a shock to the system, and for me, it was worse. Then again, I thought Man Faye was hilarious, rather than "OH MY GOD I'M BLIND"-ish.

You know... that's less Cosplay and more LARP. In fact, I'd say it's not really cosplay at all, and completely LARP.
And Locke, I know I can't phase you... and my best weapons are gone now. Removed in the name of internet decency.

That looked a lot like the Awacon I went to in Atlanta. My friend went as Osaka from Azumanga Daioh. His costume was amazing. It's the three pictures on the second row.
http://davenelson.smugmug.com/galler...50/10/37514164 I didn't know he had that until three days before I drove us all up to Awacon. I didn't cosplay but I plan to next year instead of buying the ungodly amounts of hentai and funny shirts and anime figures that I did get. Last edited by Astral Harmony; 10-27-2005 at 11:53 AM. |

I don't have any mind-detroying pictures to post, but for those looking for an excuse to NOT go to cons, the following article has some fairly good reasons:
http://www.i-mockery.com/visionary/a...onventions.php WARNING: Potential popups, but nothing malicious. RoG (the owner of the site) needs to pay for his site SOMEHOW... ALSO WARNING: Fairly extreme language usage.
