I chose other, because thief and king steve are the two greatest criminal minds in the world, how could they fail?
Think about it, King Steve has baby skin shoes, and has successfully destroyed most of Corneria, and Thief has...well, stolen lots of stuff, but you get the point.

For my own amusement, I would pair Black Mage and Ranger, my two favourite characters. I do not know how much they could accomplish together, but it would certianly be interesting.
For pure impressiveness, I would absolutely pair Black Mage and Thief, however.

Redmage and Thief all the way. Thief for his backstabbery and quickery, RM for his stat-swappery and "I'm never wrong"-ery.

I voted Thief and Red Mage. I just love hearing those two talk. BM is always just "KILL KILL!!" and Fighter is just "IM DUMB!". Not that I don't like that- it's wonderful. But Thief and Red Mage always impress me more- and they are the most powerful in combat, i'd say.

RM more powerful than BM? Nope, sorry, not possible. Besides, we've seen BM beat RM once.
And I'm sure that Fighter could take Thief. |
