You can, but you'd probably need to configure it in the DoConfig.exe file (in the install directory) before it works. And if any particular part of Hell is troubling you, I have a set of video tutorials for the place, though if it's Ballos getting you down then you might not need them.

My challenge until yesterday was beat Culex in SMRPG without using Lazy Shell or Toadstool (as per this thread) but I did that and now need something else. Where do I get my ten points, by the way? :p

Jordan? Get your index and middle fingers ready. In Solo B, I just use two fingers. I flail about on the strum bar while mashing those two hoping that they'll get the timing right. Try to keep from using SP for as long as possible. In Solo C, a lot of the easiest little bits to hit are the HOPO sequences that are 4 or 5 notes across (GRBY, RYBO, GRYBO, etc.) try to hit those (try to hit everything but those are easy pickins' so don't miss them). the end of the Stricken solo is probably good practice, as is that little repetitive part in DWDTG solo. It'll get your fingers moving faster.

Since you're just looking for a pass, you can save up a full bar of SP easily before the solo. You need a full bar.

That's pretty much all I got for ya. The problem with GH is that it basically amounts to "play more". That's.... wow. Marketing hooooo!.

The intro isn't the trouble part for TTFAF for me, and I can do fine up until 70%, and that's a part I usually drop out at. I've drained star power a while ago and I have trouble getting enough back. But yeah, I have my own method for the intro, and it works nice enough to let me transition into the real song without having to jet my right hand back to the strum bar:

That...is the most hilariously ridiculous yet incredibly perfect method of playing the intro to TTFATF that I've ever seen.

I just use my right hand to press on green while hitting the strum bar with my elbow.

Wow, I'm going to go do that right now.

I love the look on my friend's face, because we're in Pro Face Off, and he can't do the intro, so he's just kinda staring at my side and half-heartedly trying to hit things on his side.

I think acing the intro is what got me the win though, those cushion-points were all that separated us in the end.

Later that night, we attempted to pass it, and we were doing AWESOME, until another friend of mine, who is a GH/Rock Band GOD walked into the room, said "Hey guys, how's it going?" and FIVE SECONDS LATER, we went from green to fail.

That friend is the drummer for the band that currently has the #1 spot for "The Perfect Drug" on Rock Band's online scoreboard.

Well then, uh, the solo... 70% is the end of it isn't it? I'm pretty sure that's just an endurance fight. Can't help ya. =(

Edit: The little girl next to you looks like Orion Pulse's daughter. Weird.

Also, any issues against Ballos in Hell can be solved with missiles. Or the Spur. That's pretty much it. On his final form I still had tons of misslies left so I just next to his eye and spammed like mad. Use the Spur more before that? I dunno >.>

If I remember correctly, I beat Ballos with the Spur and Fireballs. Fireball while above him, Spur at whatever level when next to him. The constant firing of the Fireball made Curly fire constantly, which made the angels die.

Also, I'm impressed Kickface got that far without a game pad.

I've beaten Ballos with and without a gamepad, and yes, the gamepad is easier (that time is from a gamepad run), but it's not impossible. Really, the trick is to devote time to Ballos as much as possible, and then ignore him when the buttes become too thick, and just spend some time taking care of them with the spur. It helps now and then to cull them all and then pick up any hearts left behind.

I did Cave Story mostly on my PSP.

Which is like a gamepad.

And a wider screen.

Cheating? Maybe. =p
