I'm not sure it's the PRESENCE of color that looks odd. It may be more the STYLE of the coloring. Right now Chris Hastings is used to drawing in such a way that color isn't needed, and doesn't do much for the comic. I think it may take a while for the coloring and the art to sync up in an appropriately attractive manner.

Color seems to be good so far.

Anyway, this latest strip in college makes me want, sometime in the future, a story that tells of Dr. McNinja's high school days. It'll have all the high school movie tropes, but with ninjas.

You know, when I saw the avatar, I thought I had posted this, and I was like, "What the hell, that doesn't sound like me at all." Because I entirely disagree with you. Also you fucking stole my avatar you dickhole.

While I do think they're KINDA showing off with the colour - why would they have a lumberjack with his blue ox if it serves no purpose than to let them have blue dinner? - but I think that it's great quality colour, it adds a bit to the comic, and it just generally makes it look more like an actual "comic" than just a webcomic. It gives it a "professional" look.

I really liked the superhero team idea, too. Kid Ninja's secret identity is an actual ninja? AWHAAAA?

Calling it now, James is the bad guy for this arc.
