Do I want them to succeed? Yes, but that shouldn't be the end of the comic.

I'm with others in thinking White Mage will swoop in and save the day. Again.
I'm not sure whether I want the Light Warriors to live or die, or if I even care, but I strongly suspect that they are toast. Incidentally: I thought the "you" referred to in the topic title was meant to address Brian. I wonder if Brian wants them to prevail? Doesn't seem like it. |

Seeing as they're really nothing more than charicatures of a particular method of jackassery, I really don't see much hope for a change of heart/redemption for any of them. Black Mage is still going to be an evil, petty little prick, thief is going to be a greedy, manipulative jackass, Red mage is going to continue being an overly arrogant know-it all and fighter will still be, well fighter.
Since there is no hope for change, there's not much hope for victory. I wager they all die/get unmade in some spectacular fashion and we get some form of anti-climax wherein nothing is learned but something really funny happens. |

Red Mage is not a good person. He isself absorbed, obsessed with gaining power and apathetic to causing harm to anyone or anything else. The guy only just recenly purposed that they merely seperate the world into quarter so they can each inflict their own brad of horror upon it, with full knowledge that Black Mage will kill and tormet everyone within his portion. Hehas no poblems murdering or stealing s long as he's not the victim. Red Mage's evil is simply not the flashy kind so it's not as obvious.

the only light warriors that's not actually Evil is Fighter, and he's so completely idiotic that his ignorance might be considered a fourth flavor of evil.

It really depends what Brian is shooting for, but I do know that the most awesome instance would be if everyone came together in their most awesome way, as a team, and I mean like dark/light/8bt crew all lined up doing what they do best:
Fighter wielding swordchucks, obviously. RM wielding multiple spells. BM wielding one big spell. Thief pouring all his stolen resources into solid gold awesome, like warmechs. WM/BB/AltCrew there if possible, even if they have to be ghosts or something.. spooky! Ect, breakdancing, awesome guitar solo, fire, you get the picture =]

I want them to fail but heroes from the games (Whtie Mage can represent FF1) arrive to help. (NO LATER THAN 6, I do not want FF7 fanboys to be attracted to 8BT)

I want something plausible to happen, unlike many of the ideas mentioned above.
Fighter no longer has the skill to not cut off all of his limbs with swordchucks. This is evidenced by the fact that he stabbed himself in the head with just one sword, nevermind four. Thief clearly has lost his ability to do anything in the way of grace of movement or his ability to lie to people. Either that or this is someone who's actually intelligent enough and not so gullible as to fall for Thief's stupid lies. Eh, Charisma's a dump stat anyway. Red Mage obviously lost his good magical power, but not his intelligence. The best he can do is come up with plans that they can no longer execute since they no longer have the necessary powers. Black Mage? He probably has nothing to his name either. So, the odds of them being the ones to pull off most things that people have suggested are very, very low. |

First: What makes you think tose fans aren't already here? Second: The comic has already had at least two references to FF7 so far (appearance by Cloud, and a summon materia)
