How about when he believed Black Mage was a good person and his friend and protected him against everything resulting in the majority of deaths and this very crisis.

the fighter cycle
Fighter's screw ups are generally followed by something which redeems his character (for instance, remember BM and Fighter's very first random encounter?). Thus, he's likely to serendipitously leverage the fact that he is now a wrecking-ballized weapon collection to destroy Sarda (possibly with the aid of something odd like the stubes).

Ah, but he did come to his senses and almost battled Majin (means Dark God) BM. Even though he was tricked into thinking BM was being controlled by Sarda at the time, mere minutes later. However, you do have a point on that matter. Him befriending and protecting BM pretty much is his greatest screw up. Though I still believe this screw up tops it.

Yeah first post and I don't mean to be overly critical but shouldn't it be "That sounded like the dumbest way possible to Say "Start at the top.""
I couldn't see anyone mention it but it seemed like a typo to me, maybe I read it wrong? BTW love the comic grew up playing Final fantasy so it's doubly funny to me. Read the first 900 comics in like 3 days or something. Anyways about the comic, although Fighter technically screwed up I think he's saved the group enough times that it probably balances it self out. I mean there were a couple instances where they just kind of pointed fighter in the right direction and let him go. I can kind of see this as one of those situations where there is no possible way that a guy with a couple swords could kill an invincible demon, or force maybe??? Not really sure what to call Chaos. Looks a bit like a rabid mountain goat. I did like the suggestion that the stubes would be Chaos downfall simply because an invention as great as a stube could never have such a short life span, I mean you have to let the marketing sink in and all the celebrity references take time to set up, plus there's all the subliminal stube messaging that has to be encoded into the youth. I really can't see the destruction of the world for 10,15 years. |

Somehow, this screw up of Fighter's will be the key to saving the universe. That and the Stube. Also White Mage returns and does something.

Considering White Mage's current state is ambiguous whereas Black Belt's current state is certified dead twice, I'd say that White Mage's return is more likely than Black Belt's return.

Not possible, this screw up is merely a extetion of the Chaos problem which is merely an extention of the Sarda problem which is an extention of the Black Mage screw up. Basically, all screw ups we've seen, aside from the one that got him kicked out of Fighter School, ar pretty much just extentions of the Black mage screw up.
