Going to second this, because I'm not convinced that having Samus gabber incessantly won't be the only point they miss.

Part of the reason Super Metroid was better than Shadow Complex is because of the isolation and atmosphere of Zebes. I keep hoping eventually they'll bring this back (as well as the kickass no-dialog storytelling) but I don't know that Other M is going to do it.

1) Mass Effect 2. I wasn't all that excited about this a little while ago but HOLY SHIT THEY FIXED THE COMBAT SYSTEM! Now I can tell my squaddies to go to DIFFERENT locations instead of fighting over the same piece of cover!

2) Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth. Surprised nobody mentioned this, but it's goddamn Edgeworth. I'm going to buy it on day 1 even though I accidentally spoiled the ending for myself already.

3) Golden Sun DS, fuckin' EH.

4) MGS Peace Walker. I don't have any of the Playstations except a PSP, so I don't have nearly enough MGS in my life.

5) Command and Conquer 4. They've played around with the RTS formula a ton, and now it feels more like TF2: the RTS than anything else.

Honorable mentions go to Halo: Reach (which will ALSO be a Day 1 purchase, but I don't know enough about it yet) and Final Fantasy 13 (favourite series ever, but I hate the way it's so goddamn linear and I really don't like that Leona Lewis song they used).

I'm pretty sure the space combat style of Eve combined with actual character interaction like WoW would draw a lot of people. Plus it would allow for space and planetary combat with people fighting it out planet-side while lumbering Carriers and Batlecruisers duke it out in the upper atmosphere.
