I mean I play DND too, I know repeating crossbows aren't exactly new, but in the movie he basically points at them, pulls the trigger, and the gun spits out crossbow bolts about the speed of an assault rifle, which is impossible on numerous levels even aside from the rotating blades and whatnot.

I know they said it's gas powered but still.

We're getting Clash of the Titans and The Lightning Thief soon. Looks like we're moving into Greek/Roman monsters now.

We're getting Clash of the Titans and The Lightning Thief soon. Looks like we're moving into Greek/Roman monsters now.

Percy Jackson and the terribly named movie? Also I think Clash of the Titans looks like it could end up being pretty bad.

The Lightning Thief was a pretty solid book and from what I've seen of the previews, it should end up being a much more serious look at kids with god-powers (unlike say....Sky High?).

All the stuff I've seen about the new Clash remake looks pretty nice. The Kraken looks decidedly monstrous and Kraken-y, the Medusa looks good, there are giant scorpions which confuses me a little, and I know I saw those three witches that share an eyeball in the preview. All in all I expect it to be a pretty fun romp in action land for about two hours.

Yeah, but they brought in Rick Baker for The Wolfman. So, that's a huge boost in it's favor.

I second the both of these. What can I say, I have a soft spot for things of the scaly persuasion. On a different (hopefully less perverse sounding note), hasn't there been talks for a Creature of the Black Lagoon reboot for a few years now? I think I saw it first on TvTropes regarding Development Hell and the new Wolfman trailers got me thinking about it again.

I'm a huge mythology nut so I'm actually looking forward to The Lightning Thief and Clash of the Titans which looks like a solid movie compared to that horrible movie its remaking.

What Hollywood needs to do is mix-n-match some genres so we can get something like the Dresden Files or Dark Tower.
