I can and do pull miracles out of my ass. All the time. My buttocks are a factory for divine works and have been sanctioned as such by the church. People accumulate outside my door to partake in its miraculous nature.
Well, that's pushing it a bit, but the point is that I tend to rely on luck and gambling to push me through when sheer skill and determination fail, and most of the time, it actually works. This is also augmented by the fact that I can and do hoard everything I get my filthy hands on, and use that as further ammunition for the aforementioned gambling. Anyone who has played against me in Advance Wars (my friends banned me from picking Sami... for very good reason) and Monopoly can attest to my lucky asshattery. Basically, my line of reasoning in relying on this is as such: my luck in real life is absolutely horrible, so it has to be funneling somewhere.

Forgot one. Diablo II: You must always have space in your Stash to put one more of anything you have in there right next to others like it.
In other words, I need an empty space right next to my Sapphires, Rubies, etc. etc.. I don't remember why I started doing that. And Samurai are the Zergling Heroes of AoE.

The Dark One Returns!

Superstitions
-Always have a chemist or its ability to throw any item available in your ff tactics party-Always get all your characters to have Autopotion, teleport, and all Squire skills maxed out in ff tactics
-Threaten to turn off the consol or PC if things are not going your way-"Oh yeah, well if your going to be that way, you stupid computer, then I am going to turn you off!" -Keep trying to accomplish something that I clearly am not able to do because of my faith in my gaming prowess-"Ok so it did not work out the last fifty times, but I am confident this will be the time I get it right!" (I've got some issues) -Shoot at anything that moves in a FPS-"Sorry about the deluge of rockets, I thought you were one of the bad guys." (My friend will not let me play Unreal 2 with him anymore for some reason):o -Pick up as many shinies as possible in games like Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance-"I know my weapons and armor are better, but I just have to get that shield that was dropped."

ITs not so much as a Superstition, but its more like a compulsion in fear
I always play games that i KNOW that are supposed to scare me ONLY during the day... and is its getting dark, its LIGHTS ON... Also, between loading times, and cutscenes i ocassionaly look over my shoulder.... Hey... no one proven that ghost exists, buuuuut no one proven that they dont... |

I blink as little as I possibly can. Especially when it comes to fighting games..because one ill timed blink can really turn a match against ya.
That and I hate moving when I play. I'll fidgit and wiggle in my chair until I'm completely comfortable and refuse to move until I'm done because any movement detracts from my concentration. |

there was only one time in which i developed a supersticous habbit. during my play of Front Mission 3 (about 100 hours of it, i love that game), I becamed convinced that one of my characters was my "ace in the hole". every time i needed him to kill some marauding Wanzer, or if i needed him to draw fire for just one more round, or if i desperatly needed his machine gun (a randomly hitting weapon) to hit a specific part and reduce the enemy's combat effectiveness, he would always pull though. always. i renamed his Wanzer "Crisis", and i took him with me in every battle. i built other characters with the same skills, and gave them similar Wanzers, but none of them ever did as well as him (can't remember his name for the life of me...).

Was it Ryugo, perchance?
Or was it a late-game character?

FM 3 -> YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also... for a LONG time, i had the true feeling that holding the D pad left and pressing the circle button during a attack, my chances of hitting the enemy arm would rise |

this one isn't so much a supersition, as it is a nervous tick: during strategy games, i'll often get up and walk away during the enemy's turn, or at least i'll look away from the screen. watching them chew into my front line while i can do nothing but shout obscenities is too stressful for me.
