Yeah it is your word against theirs but we're getting to a point in our time today that your word put in the right ears can destroy them, and most businesses are friggen terrified of that.
This whole situation shouldn't mean you don't have rights. Just take it up with the District Manager if there is one. EDIT: Hell you could just do the classic asshole thing. You know, "Give me my job back." And then they're all "Alright, stop bothering us!" and you go "I don't want it anymore." Even if you don't want the job anymore it'd still be worth it to fuck with them because they're stupid.

Restraunts Unlimited, specifically; the newly aquired portion of their company previously known as Pacific Coast Restaraunts. Even more specifically, Stanfords Restaraunt which is a Pacific North West only joint so far.
