According to Nintendo Power's antiquated walk-through, next stop is the water dungeon and Kraken. According to most net walk-throughs, next stop is the quest for the class change. So who really knows where Brian is off to next.
That's one thing I loved about FFI - it didn't lead you around by the nose. The others that have came since have becomes progressively more linear till I finally quit around #8 |

I like the latin phrase Viridis Cervus. My favorite color and my last name.

Notice what White Mage said about Sarda's role in her quest? Do you figure she'll ever catch on to the extent he played in?

I haven't seen the alleged post(s) myself, but supposedly Brian will do the class change. Some guy named shiney has pretty much confirmed it, and I remember he implied on the #499 thread that he knew who the fourth Dark Warrior was before us non-entities.
Incidentally, Brian heavily implied on the thread linked to above that White Mage won't be class changing.

No White Mage class change? I completely missed that... well, I suppose it'd solve a plot hole... cause otherwise they'd have to make totally new WW sprites.
Oh, and I'm sure that the NEW Deathtrap has some string and duct tape in there too.

When they get a class change, Bahamut will do some halfass job, like removing BM's hat, giving Red Mage a disgusting +2/+2 cookie stat-booster, thunking a heavy piece of armor on Fighter, and giving thief a horribly itchy costume. Then, they'll all revert back to their original forms, but not before they go off and have hilarious difficulties while fighting monsters and trying to cope with the shit Bahamut gave them.
...or something.

Duct tape? Oh, well, it works fine now. Any WD-40? Possibly Febreeze?
And hey, modify the Shaman sprites from FF3 to take out the cat ears and you got an advanced White Mage. Rah.
