Demon Slayer and Ass Kicker

Garud opened his eyes to the sound of a Black van pulling up to the curb. A man that had black shades and a black suit walked towards him.
"Do you have your ticket worm? If not, get out of the way before i bust your head open." Garud wordlessly showed his ticket to the arrogant man. The official then cuffed him like a prisoner and pushed him into the back. The nerve of that guy. Garud was in no mood to take this, and his blood really boiled as the suit insulted him every step of the way. The van stopped at a loud place where lots of people were gathered. They were all shouting at the officials who wouldent let them past the picket line. The back of the van opened and the arrogant man uncuffed Garud. "Lets move maggot, we havent got all day." "Correction, you havent got all day, and not many of them." "One more word out of you and I will shoot you here on the spot." Garud was shoved through a door when the man noticed the dirk. "Hey, you cant bring that there!" As the man reached in, Garud slammed the metal door on his arm. He then kicked the official and slammed the door. Dont test me, he thought. Garud found a seat and sat down beside someone, but he didnt notice who. He went into a deep melancholy. The kind of brooding was natural for his personality. He ran his hand through his dark brown hair and looked up. He thought of something. They were here early. Garud had not seen the news or heard any comments about the reason this was happening. Word must have spread. That is why those people were outside the Mayflower. Garud thought it was a big secret. But Garud didnt care anymore. What he had lost was too much to bear. He just kept his head down and stared at his shoes. This was it. The end of humanity.

Thomas looked up at the group then hung his head again "So these will be the legacy of humanity, I thought we'd have more celebrities." He mumbled to himself. "I'm also surprised a riot hasn't started outside."

Jack looked around.
So these would be the people he spent the rest of his life with... Fantastic. They were well mixed, he supposed. Still. He didn't imagine he would get on well with any of them. He was too stressed to make nice with introductions, so he went to sleep. (OOC:Jay's still awake, so you can talk to him if you want)

(OOC: I'm not sure if you should go kicking around army officials, Garud.)
Kaitlyn clung onto her brothers hand, but didn't reply to the man who had spoken to her. She had no clue how he could sound so casual at a time like this. She brushed the tears away with the back of her hand, angry at herself to cry in front of her brother. Suddenly, she felt a strong arm around her sholder. She whipped her head around to see who. Her father. "Kaitlyn," He said, holding her tightly, "You're strong and brave, I know that you can make it." He swallowed, looking like he was talking with difficulty, "If.... I don't make it... make sure you take care of your mom and your brother." He squeeze her tightly to him, "I love you Kaitlyn, and I'm proud of you, no matter what happens." And with this, more tears flowed down her cheeks, feeling as if she was a little girl again, needing to be protected by her daddy. (OOC: ah, how sad. Heheh. I'm not used to writing so much sad stuff.... oh well! time for work. heh)

Daniel glanced over at the boy holding on to his sister, and suddenly, a twinge of loss ran through him.
I love you, Daddy. And then the moment passed, incinerated by the smoldering hatred that he had been carrying in him for the past few weeks, and it took all the self-control he had to keep himself from looking away and muttering, "How... sweet..." |

Seeing others continue to enter the room, Kay shifted uneasily, prefering open spaces and being around a lot less people. Trying to take his mind off it, he turned to Amy but saw she was asleep. So to passs the time, he started to look at the other people, note the characteristics, their habits, their personalities based on this situation. It was something he had trained himself to do and had helped him many times in the field to find his mark. The one that most caught his attention was someone who appeared to be a bodyguard with a little girl. If anything goes wrong he could be useful. Kay thought. He guessed that some knew of the first impact, but he also wondered how many really knew that other countries had reports of impacts.
(OOC: my character would probably be more informed than the majority of the others due to the fact that the base he was stationed on was guarding the Mayflower and because Amy was part of NASA who helped build it.) Last edited by Nathano; 07-02-2005 at 10:11 AM. |

Jacob came bursting through the door like he always did. Though this time he seemed to be in a huge rush. Razma simply looked at him and as he offered coffee, Jacob said "No time, the guys will be here in about half and hour. Seems a peice broke of the astroid and hit the earth."
Razma was stunned, but then set down the coffee and went to get dressed. He grabbed his wallet out of instinct and noticed the pocket knife sitting there, then decided to take it too. Once he came into the kitchen again, Jacob was drinking his coffee with a stern look on his face. "Guess those changes won't be implimented." Jacob said as he picked up his coffe and drank. "Guess not. So what will happen if something goes wrong on the ship." Razma asked. But before Jacob could answer, the black van pulled in. Razma got up and walked out, not giving the guys inside time to get out. He saw his dad follow the van all the way to the launch site. Then he pulled away as the van started to be surrounded by miliary personnel. They escorted him to a room that didn't exactly shine with happiness. Everyone here seemed to be sad in some sort of way, either loosing family or friends. He took a seat, and realized that one good thing would come out of his parents deathes. That he would be mentally prepared for the loss of the rest of his family, that he might come out better than the rest of these people, who probably are all losing members of the family for the first time. Such thinking gave him the shivers, and he started to study the rest of the people, just trying to figure out who might take charge in an emergency. |

Taiki gave a sigh and pulled out his pencil. He started fidgeting with it in his fingers while pacing in different directions. A piece of his heart fell as he heard a man speaking with that girl he spoke to earlier.
I wish I had a family... he thought as he continued pacing. For the first time he began to lose focus of what was at hand and became frustrated. While he was pacing, he went up to a wall and punched it with his left hand. The force of his punch had left a dent in the wall and his knuckles somewhat bloody. He leaned on the wall and sank to the floor. He resumed fiddling with his pencil while his head drooped and stared at the floor. It was obvious to him that trying to socialize with people wasn't really on everyone's list at the moment. |
