Its sort of irrelevant now that youre using the discs, but if you sign up for a free trial, you can download the entire game off the site and check if it works, (this is for macs too) in case anyone else wants to. It takes a really long time to download, but if you leave your computer on for a day itll get done. The free trial is great (I'd buy the game, but i live most of the year at a boarding school, and online games are blocked by the firewall, so i dont feel like paying 15$ for 5 days a month.) You get almost all the priveleges of a paying member, other than a few things for trading, and a cap at level 20.

But from what I'm looking at on your system specs...it should run beautifully.

Dial-up, Mirai. Dial-up.
In any event, you should also upgrade to Service Pack 2. Running SP1, unless you really know what you're doing, isn't a good idea. SP2 is mostly love.

How do you get onto a private server? I have WoW (I can't install it, I thought this crap comp would have better stats...you know what I mean) and I was thinking starring off as an Undead rogue or Blood Elf mage, depending whether or not I get Burning Crusade before I install it.

Tydeus, glad you finally decided to do it.
Sorry it took me so long to get back. My emac has 256mb ram, 700mhz processor G4. On dial up. It was tolerable, but only if I was on my own. I couldn't party very well. |
