Sir Auron, from FFX. He's just so cool. And he's dead, which is always a plus.

Amarant, because he could throw things like a ninja, heal like a monk, and above all else, had red hair.

Albert from Legend of Dragoon, because he was a king, had a spear, and wore green.

Vincent of FF7, because he had rifles and whatnot.

Gilder of Skies of Arcadia, because of Gunslinger and The Claudia.

Edgar, because he was a king and he gets awesome tools (Chainsaw, anyone?).

Locke, because of "Call me a treasure hunter or I'll rip your lungs out!"

Samus Aran, because she has the guts to take on an entire army... and win.

Cecil of FF4, because paladins are awesome

Rose from Legend of Dragoon, because rapiers are awesome.

Raphael from Soul Calibur II, because he's French and kicks ass, as well as above.

Cless of Tales of Phantasia, because he can use swords, axes, AND spears.

And I'll just stop here.

Interesting...

So far there have been 2 votes for Sephiroth, but 3 specifically AGAINST him. I think if so many people think he isn't the coolest ever, then he must not be.

Especially since I cast a vote against him.

Whoever thought Squall was the greatest probably liked Anakin Skywalker in "Attack of the Clones". *spastic twitch* He is redeemed for saying Vivi and Magus were better.

But, of all the games I have ever played, the greatest character of them all has to be:

Shadow, from Final Fantasy 6.

He's a freakin' ninja.
His dog eats people.
He has a great theme song.
And he attempted to stop the greatest villian ever from doing what made him so great. That's gotta be worth major points.

Anyone who opted to leave Shadow behind needs to be flogged.

K i'll say one for each new system.

For Ps2 I had to pick an old favorite of mine, the infamous Lloyd!! (From Legend of Dragoon) I mean you gotta like a guy that kills one of the main characters. (Lavitz) And he looks straight out cool.

For X-box it's Masterchief from Halo. (DUH) Cuz he was frozen forever and can still kill people. ( And cuz hes got a person talking to him in his head at all times...the annoyance.)

And for Gamecube of course uh.....................of course i chose someone from super smash bros melle, Marth. (I picked a name out of the hat for that one.)

I'd say.....ME!!! From the best game....MY GAME!!!!! GWAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!But if you mean a REAL game made by a REAL company, then I'd say either Drachma, Ramirez, or Emerald Weapon.

Samus Aran, all the way. Made an amazing opening as an edge-of-your-seat game character...then turns out to be a woman! She has a huge assortment of weaponry and special features for her suit. Not just that, but if I could scrunch up into a ball and actually look like a perfect sphere, I think I would be pretty popular too!

Heihachi Mishima could wipe out everyone that everyone else has listed, and still have enough strength left to throw his good for nothing son (and grandson) off a cliff.

Plus he's got pointy boss hair.

I'm going to say Link, I love that master sword. And then I'll go with Zero from the Megaman X series, I like his badass attitude and sabre. And finally go with Samus Aran, I swear megaman would be jealous of that suit and gun. And she's not slutty, well not untill you unlock the best ending in Fusions.
