The one thing I seem to be really anxious about in this RP is combat scenes... namely, how will they be handled?

It seems almost impossible for some 20 odd individuals to all be engaged against the same enemy or group of enemies without ignoring each other's efforts.

It might be prudent for combat scenes, that each group of 3-5 people be assigned a front of battle so as to only need to consider those few others and not worry about messing up someone's efforts.

Edit: Going along with Bookworm's idea, might we not split up into two groups; one dedicated to protecting her, and the other dedicated to finding the threats and eliminating them preemptively. It would split us up so that each group becomes easier to handle.

you mean each group wiht their own thread and stuff? that's not a bad idea..

Actually, it kinda is a bad idea.

When one thread dies, then they all die; it happens a lot. Also, I don't plan on posting the first day myself, as...well, it's going to be messy. He'll just pop up at some convenient point. Probably to pester his sister, or someone else.

That will certainly be a sneakyness that is unbeatable, unless I wait to post UNTIL EVEN LATER!

So I won't post until the FINAL penultimate battle, where I'll do something super awesome and kill the boss with a sword that also cuts the world in half, winning and losing the great battle at the same time.

I'm all for that. I would definatly prefer to fight with a smaller group with complimentary skills for the majority of the time.

Granted, for the BIG fights, I'm sure we'll want everyone present.

Don't worry...I'm working on ways to keep things under control. First off...call for the group to be split up...well, isn't it already, between those who will be in school with the Mother of Hell and everyone else. It can also be divided up more if you can the official protectors and the unofficial ones. I won't force anyone to be in any group. Just remember that it is just as hairy to try to keep track of what group is what, who is in what group, is this group near my group, etc.

Trust me, I'm not going into this blind. I still have nightmares about trying to control the Christmas RP.

However, I would ask that everyone try not to rapid post...technically, I can't any rule beyond don't double post, but it's annoying if the same 3-4 who are online at the same time take up an entire thread just between then. Also, I would also ask the more experienced RPers here to help keep the newer players out of the classic pitfalls...such as doing making other people's characters do things and god-modding.

With any luck, this won't turn into the train-wreck some people seem to be expecting.

Anyways...PMs replied to, and Mr. Bookworm, check the sign-up thread for information.

If the Christmas RP was a train wreck, then actual train wrecks must be must involve nuclear explosions or something. Or Snakes in B-movies.

I recall everything going fairly smoothly, even RP's that have 4 players don't keep up a narrative as well with numerous characters doing stuff at the same time, disappearing for abit, then returning to the spotlight later. Hopefully, this RP'll do the same!

I have nothing but high hopes! High apple pie in the sky hopes!
