I thought Meet the Spartans was awful.
I mean not just because the jokes were lame, but because 90% of them are really, really old jokes that no one wants to be reminded of. You got served? Jeeeez.

Meet the Spartans has no redeeming features whatsoever. Old jokes, bad jokes, and pop culture references thrown in because pop culture references.
You know what this movie is? This movie is Yoda Dog stretched out into a feature length film.

Epic Movie? More like Epic FAIL. I had a stinking feeling that movie was going to be doo-doo when I saw the trailer. At least Diedrich Bader and Kevin Sorbo can still find work...but I'd never figure either of them to be part of this steaming pile. Have they really fallen that hard?

Hm. Maybe my Cynic-O-Meter is broken.
I think it might have to do with not seeing any of the Scary Movies or Epic Movie. EDIT: Why am I not hating this movie? I'm thinking about it now and I can't remember any of the parts of the movie where I went anything besides "Hah, I remember that!" Everything that was a parody has been done better for years and anything that was a reference didn't even make sense as an out-there nonsensical joke, everything from Paris Hilton to Britney Spears to American Idol to America's Next Top Model were just kind of there. Why did I start off with optimism? God damn it my Cynic-O-Meter needs repairs. I'll be right back.

I'm just suprised all you people have gone to see it along with millions of others. The trailers were all terrible... Bizzaro!

Fooled me, but to be fair that's all the movie was trying to be.

I figured all I needed to know about this movie were the trailers and the stuff I saw in Scary Movie 3 which was just on TV one day, and I figured what the hell.
The funny thing is that this movie is still better recieved than One Missed Call. So, crappy 'parodies' are still better than American remakes of J-Horror.

Uwe Boll is a shitty, shitty, terrible excuse for a film director, but his movies are horrible because he is bad at making movies. However, he at least attempts to make movies. Friedberg and Seltzer are not movie makers. At best they are intelligence-mockers, and at worse they are every bad aspect of hucksterism multiplied to the ends of the earth. They don't make movies, they regurgitate up and on any available pop culture reference because, hey, recognition is the same thing as a joke, right? ("Nicole Ritchie", there, I wrote probably the first line of Now THAT'S What I Call Movie II) Say all you want about Boll, but at least he's trying.
