I mean I could give a damn about Halo at the end of the day, but I want my Age of Empires thank you very much.

I suppose the Halo RTS is still alive and kicking, though?

Anyway, if they ever made a Warhammer 40K MMO it would automatically be better, cause, well. The Emperor says so.

To the first: yes, it's a different company handling it. It should be out this fall or winter.

To the second: yes, they ARE making one. Brian made a newspost about it some time ago. No info yet, except that it will ROCK YOU...

We're constantly told in Game Dev class that MMO's are pretty much a dead end now because of WoW and the only real way to break into the market is to come out the gate with something better than that.

I was thinking that the genre needs a sci-fi representation that handles better than PSU.

that's what Anarchy Online is for. But has a rather poor character creation interface and a terrible navigation system.

I still say that for Sci-fi, Tabulas Rasa (MAYBE Stargate) are the games that represent that field. And they still haven't beaten WoW yet.

In regards to Halo, it's weird seeing the MJOLNIR armor like that...

Especially since through canon, Nicole (DoA) was a female Spartan that got to fight with the armor.
