I admit it is a bit lazy, but I guess I can suspend my disbelief more easily than you. The fact that, so far, all of the summons only affect Brave numbers instead of actually attacking the opponent is more disappointing to me. |

Eh. I like the summons how they are. If it was a full 3D thing, then people might expect it to do something other than a quick status effect...

The soundtrack website has updated with a partial (dicks!) tracklist, a preview and a promotional video. Arrangements for Clash on the Big Bridge and Terra are confirmed. The official theme song will be Cosmos, from Your Favorite Enemies. It seems like a dull song, but whatever. If someone could translate the rest of the songs that'd be great.
Also, the guys at Chaotic Cosmos have ripped the songs. They should do good until the soundtrack (with 55 songs at least) is out next Christmas' Eve. EDIT: Cloud VS Squall with an arrangement of Force Your Way. EDIT2: AC Cloud VS FFVII Cloud. EDIT3: Here are the songs taken from each game (those in bold are new arrangements):

Meh. It's still just another fighting game to me still. How many of the bad guys are sporting the "heavily armored horned helm evil looking big man with sword" look right now anyways? Cause I think we're up to 3.

It's four now. More than one third of the villains, actually.

Not to mention how Gabranth's and Garland's armor are nearly the same...The same is true for Golbez's and Exdeath's armor. We also have three scantly-clad, girly magicians on the evil side, one of which is a man. On the good side, one wears armor, three wear semi-armor and the rest wears "normal" clothing. Truly, a varied cast.

Wait wait wait.
Just to get this straight: Are we seriously complaining about how the cast of Dissidia is dressed--when they are, specifically made up of characters--namely the main protagonists and antagonists--from Final Fantasy games whose costumes had been decided long before the game was even conceived? I mean, that's what it sounds like, but... it's just so... I don't even know. What? This is how they looked, dressed, and acted in the games. What exactly do you guys want them to do?

I believe putting them all together is causing people to go "my god they all look alike!". And if anyone finds a wallpaper with all characters facing off, that person would be given a great deal of internets. Last edited by Ryong; 12-17-2008 at 08:53 AM. |
