I have a few. Mostly Mother 3, Gurren Lagann, and Toradora!
Even then I can understand why people might not like them. People might not like Mother 3 because they don't like love being central to the plot. People might not like Gurren Lagann because they don't like over-the-top mecha shows. People might not like Toradora! because they don't like romantic comedy. If someone doesn't like these things, that's fine. However, tell me that they just aren't good, and I end up unleashing all sorts of argumentative bickering because your opinion is wrong.

While I'm also of the hypercritical sort, it's no fun for this sort of thing, so I'll just say that the only negative comment I'm equipped to understand about the television series Deadwood is that it was cancelled.
No, I suppose that I might be able to conceive that a given five minute stretch, say a given monologue, of an episode might not be 100% awesome, but that's it. On the other hand, the only time I had the occasion to defend the show was from fans of it.

RT is correct so far (though to get real specific we mean 1 and 3, because I have complaints about 4 and I can't even speak the other's name).
But I would like to add The Last Unicorn and Flight of Dragons to my movies that are sacred cows (First is a decent book too). Just, seriously. Tell me what's wrong with them. So I can tell you how wrong you are. And I swear the first person to knee-jerk "haw haw haw UNICORNS ARE GIRLY" gets kneed in the junk.

I totally want to start criticising basically everything mentioned in this thread (though I would have a hard time finding bad things to say about Calvin and Hobbes I must admit).
I think that makes me a bad person. Only one thing really qualifies for me which is Les Miserables by Hugo. I've broken up with people solely because they didn't like the book. I just couldn't understand them anymore. Last edited by Professor Smarmiarty; 02-06-2009 at 06:35 AM. |

Super Metroid and Majora's Mask. Metroid Prime and Pikmin 2 to a degree as well.

Anyway, I was about to say that I don't really have anything that I wouldn't tolerate anyone naysaying it, as I'm pretty open to other people's opinions, but then I remembered one thing. And no it's not Fullmetal Alchemist. Sheesh. It would have to be The Beatles. I can understand people not being ga-ga over their music, but then there's people who are like "eh, I don't get why they're such a big deal" and it pains me inside.
