My belief in the whole "Brian does the opposite of what is speculated on the forums" rule was crushed when someone predicted that Dragoon was going to be the one to kill Muffin and then...yeah. Unless you go down the "But we expect the unexpected, so he's more likely to do the expected, in an unexpected way!" route.

I can't decide if this is just Drizz'l being incompetent, or he did it on purpose (as the non-exclamatory manner of "shit they're on to me" and the dropping of the absurd note seems to indicate) and its all part of a roundabout plot that relies on their stupidity to make them do what he wanted, because he figured they'd fuck it up if he did it straightforward.

Considering this is apparently part of Thief's plan, I wouldn't be surprised if it's that complicated. I mean, he had connections with Rogue and apparently delayed the True Light Warriors, and I wouldn't be surprised if he was somehow involved with the old man who ripped off Fighter or the kidnapping of Princess Sara, thus making him the catalyst for the whole story. I also wonder if the "I can't kill the Light Warriors because they're so adorable together" thing was just an elaborate act by Drizz'l.
