You know, if any of you are going for Political correctness than start calling Americans "North Americans", because i live on the South American continent, therefore i should also be a "South American" but i'm "Latin American" because my country used to be a part of Portugal / Spain, but my family has Italian Heritage so maybe i'm just Euro Trash... i dunno, Political Correctness is hard.

Regardless, that doesn't null the fact that Old people in China are crazy.

And i wouldn't blame the Medication for that one... i Mean, the guy Asked the cops to get near the Jumper, when denied he broke the isolation area and went TO the guy, shook his hand, and Then PUSHED him and SALUTED.

Methinks he thought this trough.

See, that doesn't work though because we had the good sense to put "America" in the name of the country before anyone else did and had it notarized and such. We're officially Americans and everyone else can suck it.

I don't feel like I'm being ageist. I'm certainly not throwing in with the 'there are 3 types of old people' camp, but there does seem to be this common nuttiness that comes with age where you just sort of throw caution to the wind and start driving 22MPH in the fast lane.

And all age groups have their common problems. It doesn't mean I think everyone conforms to what is commonly associated with their age groups, only the ones that do.

Yeah, even in French, we're American (américain/américaine), even though our country is usually properly referred to as les Etats-Unis with no reference to America. Although informally, they do call it l'Amérique.

Besides, it sounds a helluva lot better than "United-Statesian." XD

Well, you people need to get with it, then! Renewable energy technology ain't making itself! :p

...Actually, that would be a really wise idea. With Obama in office, the first country to approach us with banana peel-based solar technology or something is going to make a killing! XD

I must agree I dont think his age had anything to do with it. Far as he was concerned this was a man just trying to get attention, and if not, well he wanted to jump anyways. Plus think about what this man had seen in his 65 years of life. He probably looks at his complaints and just thinks "What? Thats it?"

or United States of American. America is a diverse nation, I personally have 5 nations of origin, two of which dont even exist anymore. Its just simpler to generalize because anything else is impracticle. heck i'm fairly certain other nations identify americans by the fact that based on appearance they have no freakin clue where you are from.

With African Americans, you can't even boil it down past a fucking continent. It's not like you call them "Zimbabwean Americans" or anything. But yes, you can go by continent. That's why we have African American, Asian American, and Native American, and yes, even European American in our language.
It's harder to tell where white people come from? I'm not even sure what you are getting at there when your next statement is that you can't even boil black people past Africa which is far larger than say Europe.

And you can boil black people past "Africa". Skin colour is usually a dead giveaway as to which part of Africa they are from as is voice.
Same with how "Asians" aren't just from Asia and can generlaly be narrowed down.

Unlikely! Big business has been holding back such energy developments for the last 40 years. They are unlikely to stop now.

Back on topic:
There is some meaning to the "Old people are crazy" stereotype as older people are far more susceptible to mental deteriration and change. But it's not all that much more accurate than "asian people are smart" or "Irish people like to get drunk and fight".
