All 8-Bit Theatre seems to be anymore is filler, and nothing ever happens. Now, I've loved 8-Bit since I first saw it, but at this point I just wish it will end already; all it is, update after update, is coming to see what inane way Brian has come up with to make stuff not happen--I used to be able to honestly say I came here to see what happened next.
Is there seriously no one else bothered by the fact that they've been bumming around the temple of fiends for well over a year? |

No, not really. The longer they bum'd around, the longer I got to read 8-bit and see Brian's writing at work.

Why should the story be rushed? I happened to like seeing the things they did in the temple of fiends. You talking about filler. How is this filler? Filler are episodes that have nothing to do with the storyline, and are rarely even considered part of it. This is what is actually happening to them. Also, if you are impatient about the pace, you are reading the wrong web comic, since ROUGHLY 1/10th of this entire comic took place during what would be the first 5 mins of the actual game. We all have a right to put our opinions forth, but give it a break, this is something that has been going on for years, for free. Doesn't he at least have the right to set the pace he wants without people yelling about filler? (Which I dont consider it being. The LW falling to their possible death seems to be pretty relevant to the story.) |

People who complain about filler are just saying "I wasn't paying attention to the previous 1,000 comics." I wish there was a more polite way to say that, but seriously, it took something like 40 - 50 pages just to start to begin the story. These are not smart characters, they take forever to do anything, and then they take longer because they are all trying to screw over everyone else.
And, no, they are not in the real world. The backgrounds are ordinarily blurred to help focus on the foreground sprites and keep filesizes down. The background isn't blurred this time because it looked better without the blur.

Aww and here I was hoping to see 8-bit Thief stealing cookies from your pantry while Redmage told you of their long illustrious tale.

Obviously they got blasted back to where everything started.
Or no real world. Know my proof is time. Last edited by sentaku; 09-05-2009 at 12:57 AM. |
