Yes, there's much to gain from the mobsters' deaths. But I would think that the means to do it is beyond what the killer alone is capable of.

Besides, there's two characters that haven't been introduced at all who could be the killers. Lucario and Jigglypuff.

No, wait.

Charizard. Brute strength, disembowlement ability aplenty, and the power to set things aflame, if it turns out the killer was behind the torching of Kirby/MK (wouldn't be surprising, considering D3). He can fly, which would make it easier to get around, too.

Tack on the Pokemon fighting rings stuff and we've got a real possibility.

Hm... I need to go back and review the episodes to see how Red might connect to him.

Don't see Red as the killer.

All the pokemon, including things like Lucario which are as big/bigger than a person, are represented by six inch tall plushies. Water gun is no more powerful than a squirt gun and did little more than gross out/annoy people when used.

Seriously, everything we've seen of the pokemon are showing them as being little more frightening than fighting roosters, so it's really hard to take anything that would put them as a murder weapon seriously.

Well, Mewtwo was a mobster. What's not to say that there's at least one more big Pokemon that we haven't seen? It could be that Red is handling Charizard, with Chari over 6 feet tall.

I doubt Olimar's behind it. If he were ritually slaughtering and disemboweling people for the sake of his beliefs, he wouldn't nearly have been satisfied with merely getting his helmet smashed into his skull.

Supposedly. All we saw was that he ran off, glowing smash ball in hand. Whether he killed himself in a final blaze of ineffectuality or created (or became?) something more remains to be seen.
