Shoulda tased the fucker.
Also good job kid. This is well above even the above average crowd of thinking to me. At age 10 I didn't give two shits about anything that didn't involve Power Rangers, marbles, my bike, or what we were having for dinner that night. |

This kind of reminds me of the book "Nothing but the Truth", only, this kid seems to be intelligent.
In any case, I'd say our country has a decent future if more 4th graders thought like him. The "go jump off a bridge" line was hilarious to, as no one at my school would ever have gotten away with saying that to the teachers face. |

Maybe it's just me, but if a teacher would have dragged up some "I know your family and they would want" crap in front of me at that age, I totally would have set them straight in direct terms. But then I have to admit at that age, I totally would have applauded a "jump off a bridge" line, too, if I knew what was going on, because it's one thing to call a teacher a liar in indisputable terms and another entirely to whip out the equivalent of a ten-year-old badass James Dean line. I dunno. I totally relate to this kid, because I pulled the same type of stuff in grade school. Maybe I'm comparing him a little too much to myself. But I'm totally behind him.

Props to the school for completely missing the point and instead of teaching the kid that he shouldn't tell the sub to go jump off a bridge (which I mean c'mon ten year old kids should know how much of a wrong thing that is to say right?), they instead focus on his refusal to stand for the pledge, which he has a right to do so. The school really could've avoided this whole media backlash if they had been smart and focused on the right issue at hand.

He's clearly a communist as well!
The best part about the go jump of a bridge line was the "with all due respect" part. Always makes me laugh when someone tries to be polite before telling you to pretty much go fuck yourself. Pretty interesting Kid though, guess not all parents just let TV and the internet teach their kids nowadays.

P. sure the "jump off a bridge" remark happened after the teacher had already insisted a few times that he stand for the pledge so it kind of amounts to the same thing.
