There's 2 things I think of when I hear chain blades:
1) Whipswords/Spiked Chains 2) The card picture of what swordchucks were dreamed to look like pre-illustration, yaknow with the big rung in the middle and the long chain?

They'll never defeat Chaos with weapons.
And that statement has nothing to do with the powers of Chaos. I just mean that they never do anything in any way that could fit into the realms of possibility. They will either be saved by coincidence or else they'll finagle their way through the vast, imperceptible dimensions of logic until they get a chokehold on whatever powers allow existence itself to be and then force the impossible to be possible in their favor (sort of in their favor, maybe), just like always.

I'm guessing the real light warriors might have a hand in Chaos's defeat and by hand I mean thief stealing their stuff

Maybe the crew would've gotten what they wanted if RM included "a partridge in a pear tree" at the end.
