Posted. That worked out quite well I think.
Is this going to have a negative effect on Pierce's career? Insubordination in the middle of a battle cannot possibly look good on his resume, particularly since Impact got hurt as a result of his actions. (Or so he's going to claim). Oh, and I've been thinking. Perhaps we should limit the use of helping hand in some way. It offers quite a lot of potential for abuse. Besides, it's removing too much strategy from the game. I'd add a rule that there can be a maximum of 1 helping hand on a target. If that's too extreme, then I'd make it so that helping hand doesn't multiply (that is to say, two helping hands'll give a 200% bonus to the base value of an attack, three helping hands'll give 250% and so on). Also, Trainer pokemon should be limited to using it on pokemon owned by the same trainer. |

Well, there is little point in Lola having it then, plus some battles in the games are two trainers fighting against two trainers.
But if AB wishes, limiting how they stack is ok. But limiting who gets it strikes me as a poor plan. |

Awww, whatever. You just want all the Helping Hands to yourself, Impact. Putting it bluntly, Helping Hand may boost an attack, but the Pokémon using Helping Hand can't do anything else that turn. I'm having trouble seeing where they gain a truely serious advantage. Besides, if they do gain an unfair advantage, Moera will make them hurt for it. Her last two Pokémon are doozies.
And no, there isn't going to be a love hotel mission. I can't see a scenario where it isn't like that boss fight in Persona 3 (where they did have a love hotel mission and the main character did see one of the girl characters in a towel because of the mind control. He sorta got slapped when they both came to) and I think a beach and hot springs mission set is enough. At least there, I can easily introduce the Water and Fire Ruin Generals, respectively. The hell'm I gonna introduce at the love hotel mission? The Psychic Ruin General? But that one's gonna be at...eh, I'll keep it hidden. There's a lot of Ruin Generals, though. Most of them are relatively human-sized like Phantomere and Marion, but some of them are really fuckin' big. |

Well, see it this way. In the original pokemon games, you could have two pokemon at most. Thus, the most you could do with a pokemon that knew helping hand, was have one pokemon increase its partner's attack by 50%. This could be useful if the attacking pokemon had a quadruple effective attack, or it it was using an attack like hyper beam, but it was rather limited.
But if it's possible to stack them, or even just use multiple helping hands on one pokemon, using the attack becomes routine since, with large enough movepool, you'll almost always have a pokemon with a 2x or 4x effective attack, which'll then get powered up to OHKO territory. Kills the strategy a bit, I think. But yeah, AB's choice. Edit: In that case, never mind. The unfair advantage would be what I explained above, and that's assuming that they don't compound. |

His counter-argument is that he's getting shit for disobeying orders once because Impact was too slow, but Charlotte gets away with a slap on the wrist for trying to kill a goddamn trainer. However, if you're lucky, Pierce will realize that he shouldn't be giving orders and maaaaaybe apologize. Though it would be easier if it weren't obvious that Impact is barely containing himself from commiting murder.

Well, Metagross just survived a Fire Blast delivered by an Arcanine (STAB, Super effective) while it had 2 Helping Hands. Then it survived X-Scissor attack as well which is neutral damage. And Special Defence is Metagross's weakpoint as compared to its awesome phsyical defence.
Normally, I would think it would be knocked out just from the Fire Blast... but it also took up the turns of Renny's pokemons, Charlotte's Arcanine AND Shannon's Eeveelution. So yeah. ^^; So yeah, Helping Hand hardly needs nerfing since AB has all the power to do that already. :3 Also might be worth noting that Renny doesn't actually know that Charlotte is aiming to kill. She only said she was going to attack Moera. Nothing was said about killing. ^^; Last edited by Menarker; 03-23-2010 at 02:36 AM. |

Very vell zen. Please excuse my inferiority complex, I'm just a guy with guns trying to keep up with a team of individuals with demigods at their disposal.
Making me demonic would really help with that. Nudge nudge. |

Oh, and you seem to keep confusing Omnisroth with Pulverot.

As for Metagross, I didn't have him take the Narcham because 1 attack don't make a lot of difference.

Rest assured, AB already said that we'll all be upgraded next mission. More slayer stuff for you.
